Like chicken
Substantial_Bass_182
Sigh of relief over here
Substantial_Bass_182
Solved!
Substantial_Bass_182
…you may be correct.
Substantial_Bass_182
I like to live dangerously
Substantial_Bass_182
I’ll do that 🤣
Substantial_Bass_182
Yeah I definitely did not expect it to be so controversial!
Substantial_Bass_182
At first I was pretty disgusted by all the hate and downvotes but then things started to get funny, so yeah it’s been interesting!
Substantial_Bass_182
You are the person I’ve been waiting for! Welcome to the party! I did try to burn a piece of it and it smelled like burning hair which would make sense if it’s sponge material which I’ve since learned is similar to keratin.
Substantial_Bass_182
I put this in another comment but it just kinda scorched and smelled like burning hair
Substantial_Bass_182
Could have been either! Some were from me, but it was in a box of rocks and shells that probably gouged it.
Substantial_Bass_182
Since paper generally burns, that’s why I initially ruled out toilet paper or wipes
Substantial_Bass_182
Do you think it should burn though if it’s paper and grease?
Substantial_Bass_182
This is horrifying
Substantial_Bass_182
I don’t have lye but what about vinegar?
Substantial_Bass_182
I did see that in my cursory research! I ruled it out because it didn’t have the sweet smell described and it didn’t burn well
Substantial_Bass_182
I agree, I don’t think it’s asbestos based on its behavior in water
Substantial_Bass_182
Like salt water
Substantial_Bass_182
Not sure where you got that idea
Substantial_Bass_182
I could eat it…
Substantial_Bass_182
It doesn’t burn, don’t think it’s TP but yes I did! Until y’all convinced me to perform destructive testing
Substantial_Bass_182
Unfortunately I didn’t have any reason to be concerned until now
Substantial_Bass_182
Thanks for the concern! I got it in a box of rocks and shells and had no reason to be scared
Substantial_Bass_182
I thought of that too! It doesn’t burn, it scorches, but it sounds like gypsum doesn’t ball up like this in water

I wish!
