I'm working class. I hate uniforms with a passion. I'm an immigrant and a refugee, I got heavily bullied in years 9-11, but it was almost never for my looks. Uniform just stunted my personal expression, my home country doesn't have uniforms and I felt so much happier in my own clothes. Uniforms are not cheaper than normal shop clothes if you buy them new, so for many people the only way to get a uniform is some worn out or passed down one, which you honestly would get bullied for more than for wearing your own clothes. LGBTQIA+ topics should be taught at the same time as a child is first exposed to heterosexuality and cisgender people so that it's not something new and exotic to them but just a part of life. There isn't much to teach unless you mean around the history of the oppression of the LGBTQIA+ community, but it's important that every child understands that there are different families and that's normal, not something to bully other children for. If you're referring to sexual education - teach them as the same time as you teach them about heterosexual sex. Really you don't even have to make much of a distinction, just don't teach them that people solely fuck out of wanting children. IMO every parent should just show that their love is unconditional no matter the gender or orientation of their child
