Not vibe, I have clear goals, I work for one of the largest auto insurers in the country. Not some mom n pop operation. We have massive contracts with aws and msft, operational metrics that need to be met including ai usage and testimonials. It’s fully baked into the gig nowadays.

It is forcibly part of my workflow. If I don’t use the tools they prescribe and meet the output I assume responsibility for, I will be fired and replaced lmao. We have metrics for AI usage, all that jazz, so yeah I actually need to use it for the job. Not all programming jobs are the same.

Yeah like what I am I supposed to do, as someone who’s been programming as a career for more than ten years, when AI is literally an inseparable part of your day to day workflow.

I think it’s garbage for art, music, anything that’s classically/creatively human, but for programming it can be a pretty remarkable force multiplier when used properly.
