my theory: i almost think the guy stole the cat to nurse it back to health and then would magically find it and be the hero (hence the cat ran away storyline) then when he realized this girl did not care at all about the cat he thought fine, ill keep it and “she doesn’t deserve to know” came into play. then he took the cat to the vet as his new cat, (the way people do when they first get an animal, not out of emergent care bc he didn’t realize how sick the cat was.) and also explains the new name “bella”. he was intending on keeping the cat at this point. the vet assessed the cat and determined it was too far gone (completely unexpected by the guy). then he saw some kind of opportunity, retroactively, to document how poorly this cat was taken care of, whether it was to smear her name in their circles or whatever.
immature, young people living in a content house acting immaturely is not that unbelievable to me. the forethought that ethan and hila expect of this guy to show clearly was not, and is not, the level that he actually operates in. at the end of the day i think the guy thought he was ultimately doing something good but then it spun out of his control. the girl did not take care of this cat in the way she should have. 3.5 days with a new person in a new house does not a dying cat make. the cat was already obviously sickly and this was possibly exacerbated by the sudden change. but do i think the girl would have gotten the cat to the vet sooner than the guy did? absolutely not.
so funny how he fully railed sneako. little bitch couldn’t even stand up for his nazi opinions and ran away
