Hey guess what, we also told China to pound sand in that meeting. Neither side came out feeling any better. And you implied in your first comment that Joe fucked up vaccination progress, only to then say in your next comment that vaccination is actually going really well and it’s because Biden stayed out of the way. Do you realize you contradicted both of your points about that?

Also, are you trying to say Trump was responsible for the first 9 months of ramping up vax efforts and then when Biden started suddenly manufacturers took over and no longer had anything to do with the president?? 😂😂 neither president really has much to do with vaccines. Don’t say Trump “handed him” a great program and then Biden fucked it up. At least try to sound like you know what you’re talking about.

SweatBudget

The vaccination effort has gotten exponentially better since January. How did Biden “fuck things up” there? Also when did we have a secure border? We’ve quite literally never had a secure border. Undocumented immigration has been a problem forever. And what has China already done to us since Biden started? I need some facts man

SweatBudget

I bet he could find it and circle it with a sharpie

SweatBudget

The “glorious supreme leader” thing would work better if Biden actually had an extremely dedicated cult-like follower base. Which he doesn’t. I’ve never seen a single Biden hat still, the only reason he won the election is because people didn’t like Trump

SweatBudget

It’s a good thing he’s a businessman, politicians are corrupt.

Umm. So there are no corrupt businessmen out there? Surely you know how ridiculous this sounds. Business owners go to jail for fraud every day. Trump was sued in the 70s by the Nixon admin for discriminatory housing policies. Then there’s the Stormy Daniels thing. You can’t tell me he’s a clean honest man simply because he was never a politician before becoming president.

SweatBudget

Where are you getting 65% from?? I just looked it up and until now his highest average approval was 55.8%. Now it’s 56%, so this is actually his highest so far

SweatBudget

Currently looking at articles about this from CNN and CBS but okay

SweatBudget

Is the assumption simply that this city of 3 million people would no longer be corrupt if they had a Republican mayor..?

SweatBudget

I mean Rush was overall a pretty shitty person and heavily contributed to the loss of civility in politics, as well as pushed lots of conspiracies and blatantly false stuff. It’s hard to grieve someone like that. It will be equally hard to grieve when George Soros or Hillary Clinton croak. This place will certainly not be polite when that happens. When you have public figures as divisive as these ones, the other side will never be sad. This shouldn’t come as a surprise

SweatBudget

While I highly agree that Cuomo is corrupt and completely guilty, I still have to ask. How come this subreddit has downplayed COVID at every possible turn and constantly perpetuated lies that COVID deaths were far overstated and that it isn’t a very serious problem, but now suddenly everyone cares about deaths again and pretends that they even believe in this pandemic?

SweatBudget

I mean, he was impeached while in office and for something he did while in office. Delaying senate sessions so that the process couldn’t even be completed until after the end of Trump’s term is a pretty bullshit way of being able to pull the “unconstitutional” card.

Mitch ensured through his unilateral power that any further disciplinary action was going to be “unconstitutional” per his definitions. How does that make any sense at all?

SweatBudget

Yeah I think the “unity” thing was always referring to rhetoric and appearances. Of course Biden was always going to rollback Trump policies, no question.

SweatBudget

Republicans did largely latch onto and perpetuate the racist rumor that Obama was born in Kenya though which also led to Trump’s initial rise in popularity in 2011, just sayin. The idea that Dems went straight for personal attacks before Reps did is kind of absurd

SweatBudget

Or maybe they feel they can actually vote their conscience since they don’t have anything to lose now? I remember when I was about to quit my coffee shop job in college, I met with my boss one last time to tell her how fucked up management was. Morally speaking, I should have done that sooner. But who in their right mind would do that if they still needed to keep their job for a while?

SweatBudget

I don’t get this take. Everything we do has to be in the name of unity now? Can a president do literally anything they want, and we’re all expected to keep our heads down and do nothing in the name of unity? Also still haven’t heard a single argument as to how it is “unconstitutional”

SweatBudget

And republicans weren’t vicious prior to that? Just democrats?

SweatBudget

Name one political party that doesn’t try to take advantage of their power when they have it. Lol what a braindead take.

SweatBudget

I mean, or you could just look at the data? Name one president in modern history other than Trump who literally never had a positive approval average at any point during their first term. That’s historically unpopular.

My parents hated Trump but they still voted for him because he’s technically a Republican. You can be extremely unpopular and still gets lots of votes. I mean hell, 81 million people took the time to submit a ballot in favor of Joe Biden. So if that says anything..

SweatBudget

I think the point with the popularity thing is that he never even had a positive approval rating. Bush was at 90% at one point (right after 9/11). Obama was positive longer than he was negative. But Trump never once even convinced 50% of Americans that he was doing a good job. I don’t think we’ve had another president in modern history to never have a net positive approval rating at any point in his first term. So by that logic, yes, he was historically unpopular.

SweatBudget

I mean, there’s years of tax fraud and sexual assault too but other than that yeah he’s a standup dude

SweatBudget

They impeached trump during his presidency for something that happened during his presidency. I don’t think I even need to tell you that you’re reaching, mate.

SweatBudget

And why did they plan it online? Who convinced them that the election was stolen?

SweatBudget

Right? If someone says “should I do the thing?” And you know “do the thing” = “kill that guy” then when you say “yeah, do the thing” you can’t argue that you had no idea what was going to happen. Keep in mind that in this context, the guy saying “do the thing” is the leader of the free world and has a cult-like base who believes every word he says.

SweatBudget

Manson didn’t kill anybody, it was his people who did. Likewise, Trump didn’t have to specifically say “hey, please go commit a crime.” All he had to do was give general instructions, and the rest was obviously going to happen as a result.

You know, like, go march upon the capitol and “stop the steal” when congress is inside those walls certifying the vote. Not hard to figure out what that means. We have to hold the leader of the free world to certain standard I think, and this ain’t it. It’s equivalent to screaming fire in a theater when there’s no fire (they still haven’t won a single court case to prove widespread voter fraud)
