I’m confident most people didn’t know the z fold 8 existed until the Duo was announced

Swing_Right

Yeah the players in this cod are cracked I guess idk, I’ve barely maintained a 1.0 in every match, with only a couple matches so far pulling 2.0 or better

Swing_Right

All of the iPhone subs are talking about the cracked screens lmao

Swing_Right

Yeah I agree, the internet has become a tiresome place where no positive discussion is allowed. Every post has to be negative or you’re a shill. Every comment has to be negative and dripping in false superiority. It’d be nice if there were a place for actual owners to discuss the device without it devolving into only screen cracking posts and bringing up the z fold

Swing_Right

Sounds like you prefer duo but don’t want to admit it lol

Swing_Right

No they were objectively dog shit and MW4 is the same so far

Swing_Right

Insanely bad take, every modern warfare game since 2019 has been pure ass. You kids just like the graphics and couldn’t care less about anything else. Black Ops 7 is better than the last 3 MW games combined

Swing_Right

Are you suggesting that every single iPhone duo will crack?

Swing_Right

Except it doesn’t seem like a design failure but a manufacturing one

Swing_Right

Same lol

Wrong, IP68 indicates that the electronic internals are dust tight, not the parts that are exposed. This means the dust can’t brick your phone because it can’t reach the electronic components inside your phone, yes, even if it gets inside the hinge. It doesn’t mean, however, that the dust can’t get in between the gaps in the hinge and prevent it from closing.

Many of you seem to think that IP68 means that massive amounts of sand should be completely incapable of damaging the phone in any way. But IP68 says nothing about preventing mechanical failures such as jams. All it means is that the internal components are protected.

The hinge is not electronic nor is it internal, so it’s not covered by IP68.

It’s no different than jamming gum in the hinge and then wondering why it won’t open or close anymore when it’s supposed to be IP68.

Just because you got mislead by this video and did not understand the definition of IP68 doesn’t mean Apple lied.

Swing_Right

Lookup the definition of IP68 then. It doesn’t mean it protects from mechanical blockage, it only specifies that the intervals are safe from dust and sand, which they are. You can jam anything into the hinge to break it, it’s still IP68.

I’m not necessarily defending it since the marketing is misleading, but the device is IP68 resistant.

Swing_Right

That’s marketing for ya.

That being said, it’s also common sense and I’m not sure why it’s breaking people’s brains. It’s no different than jamming anything else in the hinge to prevent it from closing all the way and then crying that it’s broken because it’s supposed to be dust resistant

Swing_Right

Yes Maggie was so smart and calculated with this move, I can’t accept that she’s playing as erratically as Brady is suggesting. He’s mad that she’s walking circles around him and is chocking it up to a cheap excuse

Swing_Right

IP68 means the internals are protected from dust and sand. It doesn’t claim that the mechanical hinge is safe from dust and sand jamming it.

Swing_Right

Idk but if you find a way to get it off can you post an update? I’d like to know too

Swing_Right

I’m not really sure why you or anyone else would expect the hinge to be ip68 resistant in terms of mechanical blockage.

IP68 means the internal electronics are protected from dust and sand, it does not guarantee that dust and sand cannot block your hinge from closing if it gets in there. I mean, the hinge opens and closes, this means there has to be gaps between the hinge and the sides of the displays. There is no way for that to be completely protected from sand or dust getting inside.

If people misinterpret this as “I can bury my iPhone duo in sand and it will be fine” I don’t think Apple is to blame, I mean it’s common sense

Swing_Right

I got bored really fast honestly. I really vibed with BO7, in comparison this mp just feels like people are too afraid to move. My same complaint with MW2019. People hold angles while being completely concealed in darkness, too afraid to move an inch. Horrible time for people that like to actually move and not just sit still for 10 minutes until the game ends

Swing_Right

Chess

Swing_Right

I have a switch 2 and a steam deck and I couldn’t care less lmao

Swing_Right

Oh for sure, don’t see why you wouldn’t be allowed to demo one

Swing_Right

Only chiming in cuz I’ll be there on Saturday hoping the demo wait isn’t super long or else I’ll be staring longingly. My delivery is in November and I just wanna get my hands on one

Swing_Right

With that budget Roland, coming from someone with an Alesis Strike Pro SE
