I have this! Just as I’m falling asleep I will ‘see’ what looks like TV static and I’ll hear a real piercing sound.

Reading this post has me thinking it was exactly how I behaved in my single days. How I was never murdered I do not know.

Have to compare that with the health effects of being overweight, though.

I’m on Wegovy and for me I know it’s going to be lifelong - it’s already been three and a half years. I have PCOS and despite being able to control it well with diet and exercise before the jabs, the weight was the only thing I couldn’t control because I was just SO damn hungry, all the time. You can have the healthiest diet in the world and still be fat because your hunger signals are fucked. It’s even harder when your maintenance calories are 1500, WITH exercise.

It sounds like you’ve not actually tried doing many of these things - you’ve said you imagine you’ll find them boring, but not that you’ve attempted them. I used to think I haaaaated exercise. Discovered lifting and it’s changed my life. Those endorphins hit like no other. Give things a go and allow yourself the grace to nope out if they aren’t for you. But at least try.

And how does one retrain when you’re working full time and have a mortgage to pay? And retrain in what? Ten years ago we were all talking about learning to code, and look how that’s going now.

I always switch teams! I’m seeing great results despite this, because I’m still consistent. Just finished Evolve and moving to Varsity because I have got the muscle gains I wanted and now I want to add some extra cardio.

But either of those can propel you towards a lifelong love of reading, which is the point the author is making. I adored Sweet Valley as a kid. I’ve read Christie as an adult and I wasn’t impressed (I read And Then There Were None). Literary snobbishness can turn people off reading.

I’m on Evolve and yesterday at the gym I got asked if I do any competitions ‘because of the way you train’ and I was like holy shit, what a flex!
I want to try Forged next series but Evolve will have a place in my heart forever.

How old are you, because your friendship group and mine sound verrrrrrry different! (I’m 39)

I had those a few years ago. The nematodes worked a treat. Good luck!

Nope, it’s my fave DLC!

I change my team every series and often mix and match my weeks and I’m seeing great progress still! I need to change, otherwise I would lose my gym MOJO.

On the Discord a few of us have had this issue and have submitted save files to the devs.

I’m 162cm and 62kg. I strength train heavy 4/5 times a week, get 10k steps a day, and do interval cardio training twice a week. My maintenance calories are 1500. If I want to lose weight I have to eat such a silly low amount I can’t then fuel my workouts. I used to be heavier and only lose weight through GLP-1s that enabled me to eat 1200 calories a day without losing my mind.
I have PCOS which definitely contributes.
SwirlingAbsurdity
I’m considering doing the same - do you think these costs will change if I wait to switch on the 20th?
SwirlingAbsurdity
Nothing, OP spends too much on Twitter.

I just have an electric boiler and did the same. I’m saving money vs Agile which is nice.

I think the problem is for a lot of us who’ve only had success with a GLP, it’s because our maintenance calories are so low, probably because our metabolisms are ruined through years of restricted eating. My maintenance is around 1500 calories and that’s with an hour of strength training 4-5 times a week and 10k steps a day. I have PCOS too which doesn’t help. Trying to prioritise protein and only eat 1200 calories is damn near impossible without the meds because you are SO DAMN HUNGRY.
Also, it works on things like blood sugar etc. People who haven’t lost weight on the drugs have still seen massive improvements in a lot of their health markers.

Same! I’m kinda surprised by the reactions the tool is getting because it seems very intuitive to me.

God yes. I remember getting a teddy bear from there that had clearly been in a fire because it stank! But I loved it nonetheless.

They’re certainly better for your teeth!

Actually might start calling my partner this now.

The first time I went to the states and experienced the friendliness was certainly an experience.
We are a reserved people, but to a point. Especially not after a few beers!
Lots of people pick up accents really easily. I’m one of them.
