Liam looking like Kerry Von Erich in that picture.

It's been nearly thirty years, and still every time I watch it I expect them to pull it back.

Tankfly_Bosswalk

I have absolutely no idea why they should care whether anyone else cares. Do you expect people to only have rivalries with your permission?

1926 or 1984? You'll need to narrow it down further than just 'when they were scabs' mate.

I'm picturing the band that played Send The Buggers Back on Phoenix Nights, on repeat.

It was sound, good offside teams (Arsenal were masters at it) would be really hard to score against, it just got occasionally beaten.

Football was fucking awful to watch back then, between the offside trap being prevalent and the backpass rule not being in effect yet. And as you can see, many teams had pitches that looked like The Somme. The worst was watching the top teams go 1-0 up with fifteen minutes left and spend the rest of the game doing little passing triangles with their own goalkeeper.

Tom. Fucking. Finney.

There's a great autobiography by David McVay called Steak Diana Ross, inspired by completing these quizzes back then.

Favourite food: Steak Diane Favourite music: Dianna Ross

I recommend it, if you can find a copy. It's about life as a footballer at one of the less-glamourous clubs in the seventies.

Multi load stuff on the Spectrum. I remember Street Fighter loaded in one stage at a time, and two opponents, so you would load in, beat two CPU fighters, then restart the tape for the next ones.

What, FOUR points from Everton?

Trev and Little Mo were together for ages as well.

A group of ravens is an unkindness. Whatever the hell they got caught doing to pick that one up fascinates me. Bodyshaming, leaving one raven out when they were picking teams at playtime, maybe mimicking one of the other birds in a high-pitched voice.

I'm English, but I've always had a fondness for Hearts. It stems from the very late eighties, when shell suits were suddenly fashionable but far too expensive for my single mother to afford. She came back from the market one day having got me a cheap one from some dodgy stall or other.

She didn't realise it was a football team one.

And that's how I had to pretend to be a long - distance Hearts supporter so I could wear a shell suit like all my richer mates.

Within six months of this, shell suits were considered an abomination and nobody would wear them in public, but it was too late and I had to keep the pretense up. Used to check their results and learn players' names to be more convincing.

Never stop being bitter about 1973 semifinal, and I wasn't even born at the time.

Special pleading, but I feel like we are owed a Manchester gig. Thom was scheduled to play a TMB show here when the pandemic lockdown happened so it got delayed, then the second lockdown put paid to that and it was cancelled altogether. I had tickets and it never came off, somehow the Sydney solo show video feels like it should have been the gig we had lined up here.

"You have to treat the office of the presidency with respect"

Is this the same guy that changed the presidential portrait of Biden in the White House to a picture of an autopen?

Congratulations on an absolutely sterling post. Thank you for all the effort this took.

"Your decision as to whether or not to apply rules to projects we are involved in will decide if we are in further projects."

We know sporting unfairness doesn't matter to them, we know fraud doesn't matter to them, we suspect tax laws don't matter to them (just waiting on HMRC for that one) and we now know state blackmail doesn't matter to them.

Why do we even want them involved?

The Happy Man, or as my mum called it, The Happy Chappy.

I live there. This shop did not do well because the pies were too expensive for what they were, and there are lots of other options nearby. Chorley has lots of empty shops, but is actually well served for food and drink offerings.

Cycle lanes, or rainbow flags.

Production tickets is the same for everyone, everywhere: they don't exist until they are set up in the stadium and can see how many extra seats have sightlines. I got Live 25 production seats at the very edge of the seats, and Radiohead ones after they'd run one night and could be certain how many extra bodies would fit safely onto the floor.

This new trend for some bands to sell production tickets with NO sight lines, so you sit behind the stage and can only hear, can get right in the fucking bin though.

We live down the road from Heaton Park but hated the Stone Roses there so much we drove to Wembley for 25. All-standing is no fun when your wife is five foot two!

I wonder what happens to the unsold ones at this point then.

We got two codes for two separate sales today, and only needed four tickets. Got them in the first sale, so we won't even use the second code (and the rules about accounts in the same household are so obtuse I worry that getting four more for a different day might lead to them all being cancelled). Can't be the only person in that position.

For Live 25 there were extra codes sent to some people nearer the time for production tickets, and those codes were valid for the last few tickets, restricted views, and returns.
