Don’t think its a given Ocon would demolish anyone. He’s been competitive against every teammate he has had, even some very good ones, but he has also never demolished any teammate he has had. And apart from Alonso he has never really had WDC level teammate.

Imo others than just winners are relevant from the sports perspective. It is meaningful for the drivers to fight for podium, or even for top 10 finish depending on the team. And it’s also entertaining to watch. If just winners are relevant why not remove every team from the field except Merc, Ferrari, RB, Mclaren?
Of course winners are still much more relevant than 4th place finishers so they are more memorable also.
Tape56
So like 85% of the drivers are irrelevant or what?
Tape56
If youre talking about running your own local llm then it’s (the inference) not running on chinese compute an irrelevant to this discussion

Pick me pukna

Regardless, it’s wrong to say his pace has been awful. At least in quali
Tape56
In quali pace hadjar has been closer to Verstappen than any other teammate since Ricciardo

People understand this very well. The current numbers just tell how ridiculously far they currently are from that ”potential” target they are trying to sell. Which rises question of how realistic that target actually is, and how probable is it that it is never reached, or is reached later than anticipated.

Will the simple software where human understands every live ever actually fully happen in a large complex system though? I don’t have a huge background in software as I started in 2019, but basically in both ”big” companies, I have worked in, the whole IT landscape of the company consisting of hundreds of systems (depending what you define a system as) that by some miracle maybe work together is unable to be understood by any single person, and some parts are not understood by anyone because the guy who did understand left the company, or because it was developed in a hurry and the developers didnt have time to think everything through and just churned together something that works.
I know many of those problems are theoretically solved with better planning and engineering and leadership and so on. But does that actually happen in any large scale company that has a complex IT system? When the system is too big to be able to be understood fully by any single person, meaning parts of it are understood by different groups of people, but those parts still need to work together, and throw in the usual unrealistic deadlines by leadership and changing employees, to me it feels inevitable that eventually it ends up as at least somewhat messy spiderweb that has parts that are not understood line by line by any human.

Don’t think Slater has had his teammates making way for him since race 1 yet

Kimi doesn't live in Finland though

That's one half, other half things Charles gonna be like this after he leaves Ferrari

Well, if both are performing near the limit then their difference must be small. Of course the difference can be small also if both are performing equally bad. But if both are equally bad then there would probably be big performance swings since there is more room to create big difference if one of them has a good weekend. But if both are near the limit consistently then there is no room to create big differences so the deltas are both close and consistent.

I'm not saying if it's taking over something, I'm just saying it's a lot more then just a search engine. And I guess that coca cola comparison is quite fitting, to make off brand Coca Cola you need no innovation, discovery or creativity but you do probably need some skills and knowledge to make it happen still. Same as with creating adobe clone. Though to make the adobe clone you need much more skills compared to making a coca cola drink I would imagine.
Tape56
A search engine doesn’t build adobe product clones from scratch. Yes those are not perfect but saying it’s just a search engine is massively underselling it.

A wheel or an airplane is also just a tool, yet both quite revolutionary

So Kato is not going to F2?
Tape56
Can you give link to the news you are refering to?

How does it prove that? You’re talking like Bottas was known to be bad driver before going to merc but his only teammates before Lewis were Massa and Maldonado, and he beat Massa convincingly. Also he won GP3 on his rookie year. So by all means he should be a top midfield driver and his performance vs Lewis also support that: sometimes can win him and usually be pretty close but can not challenge over a full season.
Tape56
At least quali head to head he lost to basically both somewhat competitive teammate he had (Salo, Barrichello)
Tape56
Could have helped if he could have proved his pace at least against his teammates in those shitboxes but he couldn’t even do that
Tape56
No difference between slightly faster and clearly faster?

The problem is AI is still writing code for humans in the end, not for itself. When no human has written or reviewed the code it increases the chance that it does something unintended because the AI made incorrect assumption about something that wasn’t properly specified, or future proofs for cases that will not exist etc. Which can cause the code to gradually drift more and more to the wrong direction.
Teammate battle in that Cadillac isn’t representative anyway, and Perez brings the money so he’s the one given less experimentative setup if it’s given to one of them
