The whole point of this thread is that cutting lands because you added ramp is bad. You want to hit your natural land drops and ramp, not have to use your ramp to prevent missing a land drop.
Tarmaque
Bad luck happens, and to meet the ratio that most 60 card decks play, you need to be on 40 lands anyway. 38 is already greedy.

You just need to also run some removal and bounce spells so you can remove your own arch mage emeritus if it is becoming a problem

It’s interesting to me that you say your team overall has a slight liberal bias. As a left leaning reader, my impression of Tangle is that there is no one left of center writing for you. When you (meaning Tangle, not you specifically) do portray left leaning perspectives, it often feels like to me “right of center person trying to relay what the left believes, but without understanding it fully”.

Prodigy is a trap. Improviser is okay in RG, but prodigy just doesn’t cut it.
You want to have some ramp of course, but you sorely need removal and card advantage as well. Murmuring volume, twinned vision, even Tam’s resistance to draw cards. You need to be able to restock and keep up the pressure.

I think you have enough power without the green splash, and the mana consistency of being two color probably outweighs the benefit Vraska would bring.

If you’re 7+ years into the career in software, you’re likely somewhere around a quarter million a year.

I had no idea there was so much of a comic book fandom that it made sense to make 6+ marvel sets. Am I the weird one for never having gotten into comic books?

I got one played against me when I had big dudes, and it still made 2 2/2s and drew opponent 5 cards the turn it came down

People choose the hotel with an outhouse all the time. It’s called camping.

There are supply issues for FRA. Stores will likely run out of play boosters.

I have sciatica, and a bad chair can ruin a week for me. There’s one game store I like to play at with bad chairs, and I have to bring a foam pad to sit on. Due to scheduling conflicts, I can’t really play at another store, but I would if I had the option to avoid the discomfort.
I would caution about diminishing returns though. A bad chair is bad, but you only need to be comfortable enough for an afternoon or evening of magic. You will also want to be able to move the chairs and tables around, so if you go with stuff that is too hefty, it’s going to be hard to rearrange

I have a Kykar storm deck, and I'm thinking about swapping in Vraska as the commander. I've found with Kykar that only being able to make red mana with the spirits to be pretty limiting, and if Kykar gets removed, your spirits can't make mana anymore.
My first draft of the swap is to cut some of the mana rocks that I run to get to kykar on turn 3 and replacing them with haste enables like the new [[samut, hazoret's champion]], [[roar of resistance]] and [[thousand-year elixir]].
I added some of the obvious includes for Vraska as well, like [[academy manufactor]] and [[xorn]].
This is what I'm trying out so far
I've only gold fished it, but you see so many cards that you find one of your haste enablers fairly easily. [[Sorcerer Class]] also lets you tap the sculpture for mana without saccing them.

FF was a good limited set, but 2026 has not been great for limited. Every set has had problems, and duplicate legendaries were an issue in TMT and MSH. HOB wasn’t as bad for that
Tarmaque
It can make limited fairly awkward when there are a lot of legendaries at lower rarities. Especially in draft, it’s very common to have multiples of the same commons and uncommons in your deck, and they get stranded in your hand if they are legendary. You can tell WotC know this is a problem with them printing cards like [[key to the side door]], though those cards haven’t been strong enough to be worth a spot in your deck so far.

I would say it didn't replace the pregame talk; it obviated it. If you say "my deck is a 3" I know you have no more than 3 game changers, aren't likely to win before turn 7, have no MLD, early game 2 card combos, or looped extra turns. I know that you can win suddenly from cards in your hand. I know all of that without you having to tell me that, because we all know what Bracket 3 means.

If you’re top 250 you qualify for some event.

In my experience, trad draft players are much slower than premier draft players. I’ll finish a match with more than 20 minutes left on my clock and my opponent is sub 10 remaining pretty frequently
Tarmaque
The creatures have to take a turn off of attacking or blocking before having death touch and lifelink is that useful, and you can destroy it either before it’s stationed to 6 or more with artifact removal, or with creature removal once it gets to 6+. You probably need to run more removal.

Just swapping the face commander on Hosts of Mordor to [[Sauron the Dark Lord]] would improve it a lot. I would also add more 2 mana rocks, since it feels pretty slow out of the box.

I want to see a less usurious price of entry.

Even in tournaments, the shortcut for resolving mind’s desire is to only shuffle before the first instance of it, and only shuffling again if some effect causes some part of the library to be known like a scry or put on bottom in any order type effect. If you tried to shuffle between each instance at a tournament, you would get hit with a slow play penalty.

This is an uncommon. It doesn’t need to be hugely powerful. This is definitely aimed at limited, not constructed.
Cube is too expensive, and the skill/knowledge floor required to not 0-3 ten drafts in a row is too high. I’m glad FRA is a fun set, because the cube is just a place to light gems on fire.
