I have a solution for DP which doesn't exist in the market. Full passthrough.

A lite version that tricks the GPU (for 90% of the cases) so you can power-off your monitor and power-on later and continue where you left off, windows stay in place etc. This one i have 2 devices for my 2 monitors working for more than 5 years...

And a pro version that does full DP AUX emulation, from EDID to DPCD parameters you can fool the GPU, sniff data, emulate any DP device without needing to have it connected.

Funny thing if you still have a monitor connected in the passthrough port will still just accept the video data if it can handle it like "OK boss i got u" even though my device could be emulating something else.

• I made it initially to create json files from scratch, the view json button was there mostly for debugging; you can use the open button or drag-and-drop to open

• I didn't test with broken json since the very beginnings so noted to fix;p

• Only deeply tested in firefox, on PC; Generally if it works with firefox, chromium should be fine (not always); for mobile even if you use landscape you are probably gonna have a bad time due to supporting drag and drop of properties, right click context menus, not gonna be fun with touchscreen

• You can customize most of the colours in the settings menu; not sure which green and red colours you talk about since i spend time making a pastel palette that works nicely in both dark and light modes

Same problem here, from the time i bought the monitor (MO27Q28G non-glossy version) half a year ago. It's totally random, it may do it 3 times in one day, then 0 times in a month. I've checked DP cables and stuff many times but i couldn't find a good reason it happens. Also it seems to be an issue with the monitor TCON, because the monitor doesn't actually disconnect from windows when it happens (i can see this because i have 2 monitors). It's like the monitor controller does some soft reset. Are you using an AMD GPU by any chance?

there are multiple situations that will cause this since GCN1 cards, AMD's solution was a badge of a fix to run run max vram clocks and call it a day, they won't acknowledge the issues or fix it, just buy nvidia next time i guess
