TekExcel

It didn't even take 5 days for me to be proven right.

TekExcel

I want to tell each and every cocksucker on here who told me that it wouldn't happen and that the pacing is absolutely fine, to suck my cock, you cock suckers.

TekExcel

Devs have already said that people are going way faster then they want. This season will be ended early, I would put money on it.

TekExcel

Why, so I can load up with a $30k kit to get flown into the side of a tree, or immediately get disintegrated by mortars the second I step into the CZ? It's very obvious they knew they fucked up with S1 and way overcorrected for S2.

At this point I am totally fine with another wipe. All they have done is rewarded the early abusers and screwed everybody who is gainfully employed trying to enjoy the game.

TekExcel

Sure, and I'm sure all of the people who control the resources now will be itching to distribute all of that stored wealth to everybody. The single biggest reason it would never work, is because the same idiots who can't survive paycheck to paycheck making over 35,000 a year still won't be managing their resources well when they get there Ubi check.

TekExcel

I'd love to hear the difference

TekExcel

I am a big proponent of AI, but this is one of those weird 'your either with me or against me' stances that is so outrageously obviously not going to happen that I don't know how the idea got started at all. If the last 70 years has taught us anything, it's that whatever trickle down effects we can get to happen will have gutters installed by the shittiest of the shitty in no time, and we'll be right back where we started. Communism is a great idea right up until you introduce these really annoying little inconsistencies called 'humans'.

TekExcel

Okay I guess your opinion is factual where as mine is subjective.

I hate Reddit

TekExcel

Durability on hammers is dumb, and makes building objectively worse.

TekExcel

I have someone telling me higher in this thread that building is better than ever...

Glad to know I'm not the only one feeling this with building.

TekExcel

I'll give you they fixed the x moving all over the place from the second to last update, but it's still slower, now tools take durability so I have to go back ang get another hammer to finish my build, and the .50 is okaaaaayyyyyy, but I wouldn't say it's awesome due to fov being fucked with by anything near it.

TekExcel

I would love to hear how you're coming to that conclusion

TekExcel

Finally, all these people want to bring me supplies, and yet I now have no desire to use them. Whatever they've done to building with the last two updates has completely beaten the will to build out of me.

TekExcel

Reddit is so politically captured that it literally can't enjoy anything.

TekExcel

It's an amplifier. It's going to make more of whatever you put into it.

TekExcel

"The concern is a science fiction level event that university researchers could barely get to function even when proding the LLM to do it maliciously."

We gotta do better than this. We're reaching 1600s levels of witch hunting now. We're not going to "stop AI". We aren't going to storm the castle with guns and make every lab in the world stop doing their work.

This type of fear mongering only serves to benefit the producer of the fear by way of elevating their social/economic status by way of attaching themselves to a 'solution' that doesn't exist. Stop it, and do better for your fellow man.

TekExcel

Slop producers produced slop well before the automated slop machine allowed them to do it quicker. Just because they're using a new tool to do it doesn't mean anything has actually changed other than the speed at which it's made now. We just need to do the same thing that we've always done, and treat slop like slop.

I think one of the really uncomfortable truths that a lot of people in tech are not ready for is that a lion's share of the "jobs" available could be run on slop machines and most people would barely notice. Some workplaces are better than others, but a lot of businesses simply let slop producers exist in the margins.

TekExcel

My man has never thought of asking for recommendations... Wild

TekExcel

Retard reddit take as per usual

TekExcel

Wait, you mean just hiding the ssid of my wifi isn't really making it more secure?! Fuck I haven't had a passphrase on it in months!

TekExcel

Honestly this is a statement on the state of documentation more than anything else. I'll admit, I'm part of the problem sometimes. But I'll also gladly take that as an opportunity to slander the majority of the companies putting out half-baked, outdated, and sometimes just flat out wrong (looking at you Microsoft).

But yeah people turn to AI because you can't Google it, there's no way a normal person is finding it on the manufacturers site, and AI will also tell it to me like 8 different ways until my dumbass can get the jist.

Is it wrong sometimes? Sure, but if you're looking up normal troubleshooting steps for your printer, it's pretty easy and quick to try most of the recommendations and they either work or don't.

TekExcel

Not on Reddit... Unless it's done by 'one of the good ones', for which the definition of exactly what 'a good one's is can change abruptly day by day

TekExcel

My guy if you have a degree in it and you genuinely don't know that phishing tests are typically required by insurance companies in order to maintain coverage, you just make yourself look silly. If you have half of the experience that you claim to have, you understand why they are a thing, even if they are annoying on both sides of the aisle.

You sound like you're in the third category of users, that get big mad every time you fail a phishing test...

TekExcel

Bro just say you don't understand the purpose of phishing tests and get on with it.

TekExcel

Your right, we should be expanding this to pedos and repeat abusers as well.
