(actually, you have Top Level Domains that are .com(mercial), .org(anisation), .gov(ernment, because the USA thinks it owns the world), and shorthands for countries.

The second highest level comes before, so example.be for a belgian domain, and the @ evolved from UNIX where it was used because it happened to be on lots of keyboards.

So that's why person [at] company [.com] is the system we have in use now (sorry, hopped up on waay too much diet coke and really enthusiastic about IT for 20 years)

I picked up building guitars as a hobby to deal w/ my depression. Something about destroying small amounts of wood to make something new is very relaxing...
