Step turtle, what are you doing?

TheClassicalGod

Seconding this. I've been hoping for a project like this for literal decades. Jet Moto 2 has been a favorite of mine since it's original release. It would be really nice to get some people together to get the textures and models up to something more modern. I had considered trying to remake the entire game in UE3 or UE4 but I don't have the modeling skills to do it justice and it just wouldn't have been the same. Having a way to upgrade the real thing would be much better.

Agreed. Quite annoying. Wish I could use this on my Android TV stick too. I have to crank the volume up to like 35 - 40 for most streaming services but then turn it down to like 5 - 7 for YouTube. So it occasionally starts blaring the last thing I watched when I forget to turn it back down before opening YouTube.

Similar for me with Amlodipine 5mg as well. Legs and sometimes even arms. Brain fog. Dizzy randomly. Just overall felt like crap but loved with it because I had tried two or three before that and that was the best one so far. It eventually also caused my gums to swell and bleed and ruined my teeth. I never had any dental issues until I was on it and within like a year or two, they were basically rotting out of my mouth. Ankle swelling as well. Eventually it just stopped working for me entirely but the side effects kept going.

Last July, I switched to Losartan. Finally immediately started losing weight pretty easily. Intentionally. I was 240 lbs. It wasn't the Losartan. I really wasn't trying before that. Got tired of being out of shape and feeling miserable.

Doctor stopped giving me renewals earlier this year. Probably wanted me to go in for another visit. Which was fine because I dropped to about 170 lbs and was bottoming out on the dosage I was on. I said screw it and I just stopped taking it entirely because I couldn't afford a doctor visit. Dealt with a slight rebound for a week or so and have been pretty stable with nothing now for a few months. I know I'm one of the lucky ones, though.

I'm all for the happy and giggly interaction and all. Why else would we be here? I know I'm being pedantic and i'll probably get downvoted for it, but he had Lettuce right the first time... only to be "corrected" in the wrong direction. I know anyone would understand it either way, though.

TheClassicalGod

Thank you... I scrolled for like 10 minutes waiting to see if I was the only one that heard that. Glad to know I'm not crazy. Not for this, at least.

Seeing a lot of negativity today the RTX 5060, but this tiny thing would probably still manage to run circles around my 4790k + GTX 970. Lol it still works but it's begging to be retired.

Blood pressure fluctuates throughout the day. As others have said, caffeine and nicotine can contribute if this was before and after coffee or a cigarette or something. Another thing to keep in mind is that the numbers we all look for are meant for blood pressure "at rest." If you just sit down after driving or work or doing something around the house and immediately check it, it's always going to be higher than if you sat for a few minutes before hitting that button.

For the record, I know you said "changing body position without any physical effort" but even something as simple as bending over shifts a lot of blood in the body and that's exactly what blood pressure is. How hard or efficiently your heart is moving blood throughout your body to where it needs to be. Things we think are simple tasks are often the ones that reveal the symptoms we take notice of. When we do things that we think are strenuous, we ignore the feeling that comes after, but when you feel it doing something you think should be easy, then you stop and say wait... I shouldn't be feeling this way from just this.

That being said, keep doing your thing for now and bring it up with your doctor on your next visit. In the mean time, be aware and listen to your own body. None of us can really tell you anything definitive.

I've also been doing this as a breakfast for the past few months. If you prefer just making it right then and there rather than overnight oats, I personally use 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 - 3/4 cup of whatever milk you prefer, I like a lot of cinnamon so I use a heaping tsp of cinnamon, and 1/16 - 1/8 tsp of salt. Smallest measuring spoon I have is 1/8, so I can't be accurate there. lol

I cook in a pot but leave it a little wetter than I might otherwise because the peanut butter powder will soak some of it up to re-hydrate. I put 2 tbsp of the GV peanut butter powder in my bowl and pour the oatmeal over it when it's done and stir. Nice and easy protein addition. I don't recommend skipping the salt. Its a tiny amount but it definitely makes the flavor pop, even if not using peanut butter powder. Bit of maple syrup or whatever you like if you want a little sweetness.

Is this Walmart? This feels like a very Walmart thing to do. I worked three different stores in different states of the years and they were all equally terrible. They schedule everyone for the exact same time to clock in and out and there were only two time clocks on opposite ends of the stores at most and it took longer than a single minute to get through the line of people swiping their IDs and we'd get brought in for things like this all the time. They'd get on people for clocking out 30 seconds early so they didn't get called out for being late just as much as they'd get on people for being 30 seconds late because there was a line. They'd call store meetings over it and whine about how it was cutting into bonuses and all of us looked at each other like... uh... WE don't get bonuses. So, you mean YOUR bonus. Just stagger the damn shifts by a minute or two. Problem solved... but that would require forethought.. or even just hindsight.

The last store, I worked seasonal. December 26th, they didn't give me any breaks until the register literally locked me out (which I feel like I remember being 6 hours). Not a 15 min unpaid, not a lunch, nothing... then brought me to the back and let me go. They called me back in January but then I wasn't on the schedule again and needed a manager to clock me in. I got there 30 minutes early and searched the store for a manager and used the PA to call for a manager to the time clock repeatedly. I didn't finally get someone to the time clock till 15 minutes after my shift was supposed to start and they threatened to write me up for being late. Zero hesitation, I walked right out the door and never went back.

It's still my primary monitor. There are some annoyances and inconveniences, but I definitely don't regret the purchase. Probably even better if you got a good deal on it secondhand.

My GF is celiac so I am always looking to find these damn things and I have found all of one box, one time so far, looking in 3 different Walmarts every single time I go. The one box I did find wasn't even in the right place, according to the store map in their app, and I have yet to even find a shelf tag for them anywhere in these stores. My GF has been treating that one box like it needs to last forever.

I can't tell if they're just bought up that quick or it was accidentally in another case with some other flavor... It's crazy. 😩

Only partially true. Depending on location, where I am in the US, we have a Gordon Food Service near by. While it's technically geared toward restaurants, it is a physical store anyone can walk into. No membership or anything necessary. I mostly only go there for flour since I can pick up a 50 lb bag of KA Sir Lancelot high gluten flour for like $27 or $28, but they also sell Grande cheese. Both, the whole milk and the 50/50 whole and part skim blend. I want to say they were like $19 or $20 for 5 lb bags, if my memory is right. At the location near me, at least.. I imagine there are similar places around other areas if lucky. I know GFS is mostly only out between Illinois and ohio and very few south of that. I definitely lucked out with one being in Orlando. Probably not at the same prices a pizzeria would get buying in bulk, but it is available. Worth a look either way if you ever wanted to try it, I'm sure that can't possibly be the only place like it.

In the US, I think it may have been more or less of a thing depending on the store chain. I definitely remember they were pretty prevalent in the 80s/90s in northern NJ. The regional grocery chains like ShopRite and PathMark had them, for sure. Then when Walmart became more of a thing, I think they faded into obscurity since more people shopped there. At least in that area. Considering how many I see that don't know about them, I'd say it's safe to assume some areas never saw them.

I'd also say it may have been more common in poorer cities where shops kept costs down by not having to hire people to collect carts. That was my perception of it as a kid, at least.

TheClassicalGod

If it makes you feel any better, I've been playing on and off for a year or so and only just tonight got my first perfect. 😂 It's entirely RNG. I lucked into my first two chests being mimics, grabbed the third shield, found a third mimic and even then it was still luck of the draw to not hit the 4th in as ideal a scenario as it gets, as far as I know of.

I've had pretty good results with the Walmart Mozzarella. But as others have been saying. Don't go with the pre-shred bags. Depending on how much you use, they have 8 oz, 1 lb, and 2 lb bricks. I even occasionally find a whole milk one rather than part skim. That seems to vary from store to store though. I bought one of those cheap stand up grinders that have a suction cup that sticks to the counter to hold it in place. I cut the bricks in half, longways, and I can crank a whole 2 lb brick through in about a minute. They, or at least mine, backs up after 5 or 6 cranks. So I have to reach in and pulls stuff out before it gets too bad, but even with that, it's WAY EASIER and faster than a normal grater for me.

Just have to be careful with the cheaper ones because the handles are all plastic and they can break if you're not careful about the force you use on them.

But I refuse to go back grating normally after one having one of these. Lol I got mine on Amazon forever ago. But I've seen similar ones in Walmart and Costco too.

This is a 1440p panel. So just 2560x1440.

TheClassicalGod

Probably because it isn't. It's just dyed a lighter color.

TheClassicalGod

More for you then, I guess... I'm not even really a fan of deep dish usually, but that looks damn good.
