I have mine set as square and I much prefer it tbh, you can easily still use your pointer finger to hit the button so it doesnt even make chases harder.

I usually went by animation beforehand anyways, so other then Highlander who feels very off cause it's a new timing and sped up animation, I've been having a blast. Read based gameplay is awesome and I'll always encourage it.
