Love #embed. But I’ve never seen so many em dashes in an article…

Service messages are really cool, you can make custom integrations without needing a full plugin. Also test sharding
TheVoidInMe
Right. But that’s the whole point, MS knew the full URL, they didn’t just see an unintelligible encrypted blob sent to ngrok, but specifically the signup page. And if that’s the case, they might have not only logged the full URL, but the full request payload, including username/password (I’m not saying they did, but they could have).
Has it been confirmed that Edge was used?
TheVoidInMe
It’s Java. Yeah, don’t use it for HPC.
The point I was making was just about the name
TheVoidInMe
I don’t believe you can get at that at all. Java is probably too high level for stuff like that anyway. In C++ I would expect a method like `to_int()` (maybe returning the enum’s `underlying_type_t`…)
TheVoidInMe
I like Java’s approach here (yes, Java) which has an EnumSet instead of a bitset. That naming makes the answer pretty clear; the bit math is purely an implementation detail

Did you not see the sections about the Spring Security integration, the docker compose improvements, and the Git updates (among others), or did you purposefully ignore them just to hate?

Reflection support is just awesome. And also live watches supporting structs and automatic watches for global vars are great. Really cool update!
Okay there’s some AI stuff too for the AI folk, but with this and the constexpr debugger they introduced a little while ago, it seems that JetBrains is still pushing their core feature set. So good to see

> Microsoft’s records showed that at that exact same minute, a Windows device carrying GDID g:6755467234350028 had visited the ngrok signup page.
I’m a bit fuzzy here… does that mean Microsoft logs all requests to third-party websites, together with your GDID? Or maybe “only” if you use Edge?
I would think if a non-MS browser does HTTPS and encrypts requests itself, it should be impossible for the OS to snoop on those requests, no?
TheVoidInMe
Yoooo what, that finally got fixed?! I remember reading that a couple years back

Fucking AI. Dead Internet is real…

Keycloak uses Infinispan, and it’s an absolute pain from an administrative / ops perspective. Redis is much easier, you can just use managed Redis / Valkey
TheVoidInMe
In C++, the equivalent to this would be three times as long: you need the private properties, then a constructor that assigns the values in its initializer list, then getter functions, in addition to the area getter. That's a lot of boilerplate which Kotlin does away with.

That was jqwik. See (e.g.) https://github.com/jqwik-team/jqwik/issues/717

I would definitely pronounce Louis the French way, or at least ask. Luis is clear though

Have you tried Language Transfer? I don’t know anymore whether that’s become an “app everyone talks about” or is still a hidden gem

Thanks ChatGPT
TheVoidInMe
Oh no! I’m sorry lol.
Please do upvote the issue in swagger! Here’s hoping they’ll update before Spring Boot 3 is deprecated next month
TheVoidInMe
Got it, that’s pretty much what I was expecting. Thank you!
And I do hope the Keycloak maintainers take note of this ^^
TheVoidInMe
Really cool! When I was getting started with KeyCloak not too long ago the “revelation” that instances need to talk to each other was… quite a shocker. I would much prefer it if KeyCloak proper would just have Redis as an option. It’s so much easier to slap AWS Elasticache or similar next to it than having to configure extra allowed ports and all that.
One question about rolling updates: from what I can tell Keycloak does not officially support them for anything more than patch versions. Does Locke somehow allow this? I would think different database schemas would break this.

You expect other people to review whatever slop your AI spat out?

I’m sorry, I’m a child, but that name is funny

Windows has had this since Windows 10 2004
Wow, I guess Claude had access to Windows 10 eleven years before it was released. Amazing!

Super unstable for me as well, the dev server is pretty much unusable. I’m using the Node adapter and React, no Cloudflare involved
C++23 stable? Woohoo! I’m just going to believe that they’re cooking up some fantastic C++26 reflection soup right now and will hit us with a surprise release sooner than later. (I know, we’re insatiable)
