The key thing in the abortion debate is that pro life people thing that defuses are a living human being that deserves to live and pro choice people think that it is part of a woman’s body that is hers to do with as she pleases. Pro life people ask “why do you support murdering babies” and pro choice people ask “ why do you support controlling women’s bodies”. They view it fundamentally differently. I am a Christian (not one of those batshit insane cunts in America but a fairly laid back c of e Christian. I go to church and socialise with all the old people there and talk to them about things over a cup of tea. It is quite nice and enjoyable. I don’t really know if I truly believe in god but that’s where I am on my religious journey. I think that killing a baby is wrong and that it is destroying a life for no fault of its own for nothing but the convenience of another person. That being said being legally forced to carry it to term is a real pain in the arse that no one should have to go through. These two view points collide greatly. I of course think that if the baby poses and sort of a threat to the mother then obviously it is an easy decision. I feel like adoption is the way to go but even that has problems. It is a shitty situation for all involved with no real solutions
