No, do not worry. Especially since you’re new, having more characters is far more useful. There is one endgame mode that needs 3 teams. So you will need 9 leveled characters for it (only the DPS needs level 60). This also needs you to match elements/mechanics so the more characters the better.

Also you can definitely get to a really good build for yixuan without her engine, it is just a bit harder. You will probably just have to go for a crit rate disk in slot 4 and that’s totally fine

You would probably need the 16 inch MacBook with its dedicated GPU, and you should probably go for the 8gb GPU and at least 1tb of storage. There are also Windows options in this price range so take a look at those too, depending on what software you need.

Really depends on whether your budget can survive a replacement if the Mac fails. My budget couldn't, and so I went for AppleCare. As I had repeated keyboard issues as well as a logic board replacement in year 2, it saved me. iFixit reports that the 2019 MacBook Pro 16 is super hard to repair again.

8 cores are better than 6 but if that's already overkill you should be fine. Fast little usb c SSDs aren't that expensive either.

Nope. Just not an enormous upgrade. Except for the SSD, which is miles ahead - and if you didn't update yours with an ssd, you will indeed find the air much faster.

I second the fact that a MacBook is going to be a downgrade. While the CPUs have similar designations, they're very very different and are designed for efficiency and not speed. This is fairly painful for games.

I wouldn't exactly recommend it. It really depends on the specs of both laptops.

The newer one is nicer, except perhaps the keyboard. Of course you save a lot by not buying a new one.

The 2017 is a faster CPU and has better battery life, thanks to the bigger battery. Doesn't weigh much more either.
