Also, buy some full ear headphones, noise cancelling, cheap enough - and wear them. Your hearing is important, as is your partner’s, and people don’t realize that lots of parents suffer real hearing damage holding a screaming baby.

Try this:

Tell daughter to bring her phone into the lounge, and the three of you are going to scroll social media together, but on her phone.

Get her to open TikTok and scroll the feed - anything that any of you want to watch, the three of you watch it, then talk about what you just watched. Like if you see a video with sexy half naked women and amazing beach properties, you can talk about what the lifestyle costs. If you see AI you can talk about how AI is becoming difficult to differentiate from reality.

When you find a person keeps popping up and your daughter likes their videos, you can google what they look like without a filter? What their net worth is, where they got their money if they come from money or made it themselves. All those extra things that we as adults understand are happening in the background, but kids only see what’s in front of them.

Total tangent from what others are saying, but you might be able to contact a charity or church or anything and ask if someone can spare some time to help. You need and will need the assistance of another person physically present.

Use a baby sitter if you need to - maybe you can negotiate late payment if you need. Some people will be considerate of your circumstances.

OP updated the post, seems like she’s got it pretty good, and has a personal day plus time when the child is in daycare or with a babysitter.

From what OP posted I think mum might have anxiety not PPD. It sounded like everything fine, but don’t try to change anything or it will all fall apart - that’s anxiety

There are medications for anxiety, which genuinely do help some people. Not that I’m saying meds are the solution but they can help.

This sounds like something a councilor would deal with, sounds like there should be a fortnightly check in going on
