I have an 04 Mustang v6 as my backup. Used it when the AC went out in my primary until it was fixed a couple years ago and my daughter is using it now since her transmission died. It was $1,000 bucks well spent many years ago.

My 04 was doing that. New motor mounts cured it for me.

The v6 Mustangs are oddly cheep too. I picked up a 2004 back in 2019 for $1000 in good condition but running rough with 157K. Changed the plugs and oil. Basic maintenance stuff that wasn't done. It's been running great ever since. 189K now. My Daughter is driving it now while the transmission in her 07 RAV4 is being replaced. Newer v6 Mustangs are also cheap. Everyone wants the GT or Cobra.

Just because they have a warehouse near you doesn't mean the part is in that warehouse. They drop ship most of their stuff. Most is direct from manufactures and not their own warehouse. They don't ship to Arizona anymore because the state claimed RA had a physical presence in the state because they were drop shipping from a partner's warehouse and that warehouse included the RA branded magnets. Arizona wanted $10mil in back taxes and they solved that by not shipping anything to Arizona now.

I've returned without opening a couple of times when I've ordered something then tried to cancel and they couldn't cancel it. Usually when I find a better price or just realized I found a better option with a different item.

I have 3 of those monitors. Love them! If Amazon still has stock, I'd return it for a replacement. Not everything that was shipped and returned has been used so I would at least check it out. If the product inside hasn't been used, I'd probably keep it but you can start the return then decide after you inspect it and try it out.

Thanks!

Because they have more than 1, I think I'll keep checking on it. They'll get down to the display soon enough!

TooncesToo

How do you like it? They still have it at my local warehouse for $1099. They aren't selling the display yet.

40ish in a 14 hour period for me.

this is the esp32-s3-matrix board in my led sign, also has 2 mics and that little speaker on the right. I'm using it for a sign but can also be used for assistant type setups.

gotta love them! I replaced a raspberry pi setup with an esp32-s3-matrix board I got from vine. runs an led sign playing animated gifs. ArcadeMatrix is the project. Supports a few different esp32 boards.

Because the health checks keep your connection active, they use 100hours in about 4 days and you're done for the month. You can work around them by not doing the health check on the secondary unit and trusting t-mobile's gateway to manage the active connection. You have to connect both wan1 & wan2 to the t-mobile gateway so it can decide which is active.

If you want to use the automatic failover, you have to set it up with a rule.

"With the automatic mode, you plug your primary connection into port 1, and then when the TMobile router determines you don't have internet, it will kick in and start counting against your usage.

You can then plug port 2 from your T-Mobile router into wan 2 of your firewall/router and set that to your failover source.

I had to write a rule in my unifi router/firewall that only allowed the cable going to port 1 of the T-Mobile router to only use wan 1 internet. Otherwise when I didn't do that, a short while after the T-Mobile router kicked in, it would think it had Internet again (even if wan 1 was down) because port 1 was getting Internet from wan 2 (which is the failover T-Mobile device) and then the T-Mobile device would stop providing Internet and go idle... And then it would keep that loop going."

I got a set a week ago for my Daughter. It was $139 and included everything and matching carrying bags. She and her friends play weekly. Her friends even have a floating board they play in the pool.

I wonder if they had you on the old 137GB plan. There's no activate button and kb range connection is what you get when you run out of hours.

but be careful, that actually starts your 100 hour timer..it will be active 24/7 after you hit that and you'll be out of data in 4 days. There are 2 ways to manage when they charge you for backup internet. that button is one. the other is connecting lan port 1 to your primary router so it can detect when the internet goes down. the thing about auto detection is that the traffic has to not reach the internet at all for it to fail over. if your ISP starts having high latency and packet loss, it won't switch so you have to come in and hit the button. you also have to turn it off manually or you run out of data.

the old backup plan gave 137GB and could always be on. most routers can handle health checks and switching to the backup connection and back using that model. you can't do that with the current setup.

I have a 99 Cobra Hood on my 2004 V6, does it count as a V6 Cobra?

Yeah, it looks great. I extracted a new set of characters and they look good too. I did have to drop pwm_bits, but that's probably just the Pi 2 being weaker than a 3+. Hardware pulsing is on (disable_hardware_pulsing unchecked) and it still flashed until I lowered pwm. I also added the SystemMonitor too 😄 Great Release!

3.0.0 release is looking great! Running on Pi2 with 2 P5 panels. 128x32. Flashed the new image, restored my data partition, config migrated itself. I like how the engines are laid out in the GUI now. On a Pi2, overlay caused slight flicker for me. dropping pwm_bits to 8 and capping refresh at 120 fixed it. Bump brightness to make up for the color loss. Looks great and no flickering. I'm only running the overlay on the clock. Vader vs Pacman is fun :D

I copied the beta 3 demon to the clock via sftp then killed the running one and copied the beta 3 to the right location and started it. just like manual install.

really liking some of the flexibility. playing with the fonts on the Tetris clock. the 10x20 don't fits perfectly on 128x32 display.

is a preconfigured sprite/figher available? I'm trying to understand the feature of sprites but not sure what I would do to build one. I see the instructions but seeing a working sprite would be really helpful.

thanks for breathing new life in my rpi2dmd!

Running 3.0.0 Beta3 now. OTA from Beta 2 said successfully updated to Beta 2 after it finished and continued to run Beta 2. No errors on the UI. I did a manual switch via SSH. Weather looks great and I am able to use the proper Timezone now! Thank You!

The new UI took me a bit to figure out. It makes sense but I could see a lot of "This is missing" just because of the now collapsed engine UIs. I don't have any issues with using it once I figured out the dropdown where it says StockEngine had all the other engines in it. The only suggestion might be to put text like "Select Engine:" or "Choose Engine:" to the left of the engine dropdown so it's more obvious that you need to choose an engine to work with before hitting Add Engine.

Writing Beta 2 to a new SD card now. I'll let you know how it goes!

Another suggestion. For night mode, add an option to dim the display so during the configured hours the display drops from 30% to a configurable 5%. That leaves the clock visible but not as bright as during the on hours. My clock is in a common room which has 3 bedrooms off of it and is bright at night. I don't want it off because it's the main clock in the space but would like to dim it at night. So maybe a radio button for the default off mode and another for dim with a box to enter the percentage.

Got is all working and updated. One settng that is needed for Weather is units=imperial. Might be easier to just let that be set under system? So someone can just choose how they want units and display formats? Just a thought so you don't have to find the settings in individual areas. For the pi2 I endabled the DMA and turned delay down to 2 and it looks like it solved the lines issue.

Looks great! The Tetris clock is awesome!

It Works! I have a few things to work out. I am in US so changing the date formats and weather. I can't get anything to display for weather yet though I have a working API key. I am still getting tearing and the clock will not change color/format. I think once I work through those things, it'll be a great replacement for the rpi2dmd software that hasn't been updated in years.
