I have almost the same build (AMD equivalent graphics card and a slightly weaker CPU), game runs adequately on medium settings and honestly looks fantastic. I turn off the volumetric clouds bc it can't handle those and I get 30-50 fps at most times.

The Hunter Cave in the south of the Island is pretty easy, should be doable with your team of sabers. When I still played OG Ark Mobile I used an imprinted baryonx and that's all it took to get through to the artifact and back out again.

So true. I spent HOURS looking for them a few days ago, finally gave up and spawned one in and tamed it. Then I did a wild dino wipe the other day and randomly found one in the redwoods when I wasn't looking for them at all.

Is your PC just slow? Because there's excellent optimization mods, notably Sodium, which make the game run on practically any PC.

Wow, I remember the old ARK mobile where we only had the Island, everything was ugly as hell, and the boss fights were these weird ass dungeons that gave you RGB creatures as one of the rewards. Making me nostalgic, honestly

I just discovered the cat today, stumbled upon one while waiting for my first carno to tame. I saw the April Fool's patch note for them but didn't know they were actually added to the game or that they did pest control like that!! New favorite shoulder pet, I need more!

Playable without a NASA computer, yes, but not recommended. My PC is just below the recommended specs on Steam, only my graphics card really, the rest of it is at the recommended specs. The game barely runs, but with all settings at medium and the volumetric clouds turned off I get 30-50 fps most of the time. Certain times of day actually tank the frame rate which is weird, and the FSR frame gen is very helpful but I hate how it makes the mouse sensitivity feel so I only turn it on if my fps drops below 30 and I can't stand it.

Oh god, it's been a year? I've collected a few more rare bugs and have most of the rare ones I wanted for the video (notably purple Alpha, I have two! Was hoping to find Bandai crabs and the elusive isopod, but other Hexbug friends have found them so that's good enough). And I have the photography equipment I wanted. Life has been busy so the rest of the project still hasn't gotten off the ground, but it's been on my mind and remains on the back burner. Glad there's interest, inspires me to actually get grinding on this project.
