We are not that far removed from when people weren't readily available 24/7. In all honesty, it's far healthier to set that boundary than to let yourself live on other people's time.

I haven't turned my ringer volume on since 2010.

I actually have both of those now! The pink was my first, I just got the blue one maybe about 6 months ago. They look great together!

I wanted a lava lamp as long as I can remember. I was told they were too dangerous, I didn't need one, etc.. Fast forward 30 years, walking through the store when I come across a display of lava lamps. I think to myself, sadly, that I really wish I could have a lava lamp. I walk for about 30 seconds and have a sudden thought that I don't need to ask for permission anymore. I turned around and bought a lava lamp.

This is, without a doubt, one of the worst things I've ever read.
