Nice find! I’ve added this scene to the short stories folder for others to access easily.

this is the whole collection thus far. haven’t been any new short stories for a few years now.

Cacob53 Could Ethan have been killed on cradle?
Will Wight No. Eithan could not have been killed on Cradle. He could have allowed the other people to be killed. That definitely could have happened.
TransEmo
Look! It Orthos!

the scene in question is after Jai Daishou stoped Long killing Jai clan members. Jai long at that point was already sitting in wait outside the blackflame trails. we don’t know who the truegold was, all we know is it wasn’t an arelius, or of the red flower or imperial clans. unlikely it’ll ever be known, it’s a minor point of interest.

Honestly, it didn’t make sense David pushing cyberpsychosis for me. Of all characters, he personally had a very good idea of what cyberpsychosis looked like, felt like and how it affected those around you. Multiple bd scrolls of psychos’ deaths, watching Maine fall and the aftermath. Of anyone, he had so much reason to avoid that fate, and yet he ran full blast toward it. Seemed a little off to me post time skip.

should be in the sidebar/menu of the subreddit. but here it is anyway. https://discord.gg/tCg94qy
TransEmo
good place to look is the discord server, we have an art archive with a lot of the fan art out there.
TransEmo
except will has said waybound won’t likely be the next release. more likely to be the new book he’s been working on. so a year is a much more likely timeframe for waybound.
TransEmo
exactly. what delay...
TransEmo
epic
TransEmo
looks like a wolf spider. carry their babies on their backs. disturb them and the babies go running in every direction like a little spider explosion. good times.
TransEmo
yep. there’s only a few people who are kind enough to spend the considerable amount of time helping transcribe, and we don’t have a specific set of rules on how to do it. it’s a fine line, do we write exactly what he said word for word or do we write what he meant to convey the message, mostly we just directly transcribe what he said and hope the tone is kept. it’s not perfect. but it helps people who can’t listen to the streams etc.
TransEmo
you’ll have noticed Will jumps around so much on the streams, it’s often not the most coherent thought stream while he’s playing games etc. we do the best we can with what he gives us lol.
TransEmo
yeah it’s hard to convey tone with just direct transcription. the audio clips won’t stay either for the recent ones either, we just haven’t deleted them yet as the transcriptions aren’t all done.
TransEmo
shocking how?
TransEmo
^great summary. well done.

Questioner At the beginning of the book [Reaper], is that memory from when Eithan was with Tiberian?
Will Wight Yes it was, at the beginning of Reaper that's kind of the Easter egg, is that number is higher and therefore a more recent memory than the others. So what Eithan is doing through the course of the series, is unlike the marble that Suriel left Lindon, his isn't impenetrable to him, because he's the one who created it, so he's using it to actively store and access memories. So the memory he shows Lindon and Yerin in Skysworn is the original one or one of the original ones he left his descendants before. Other Arelius people have ascended, but they never did it the way he wanted them to, they never had the values he wanted them to have, so what they really had done over the centuries is enshrined that in a big shrine at the main Arelius mainland to the first patriarch, and he came back and was very disappointed in them for that. He got access to it by virtue of passing the first patriarch's tests. He'd left these for a descendant, and he passes them as an Underlord and that's how he gets everybody's attention and goes "oh he's such a wise Underlord" and he's like "yeah....I'm great".
TransEmo
Suriel.
TransEmo
we have some hints yes. in Underlord there is this:
“She could survive in the void, but not forever. It would begin to corrupt her, breaking down the influence of the Way, turning her into an incomprehensible Fiend. At that point, if she didn’t find an Iteration or a fragment to latch onto, the void would continue to break her down until she no longer existed.”
based on that you could assume fiends are formed from corrupted fragments of iterations lost in the void, anyone left in those fragments also get corrupted, and if any are strong enough to survive that and make it back to the way….huzzah, chaos fiend.
TransEmo
short answer. nope. keep reading though, there is mention of why in later books, but it’s not a big deal.
TransEmo
close enough. shifty eyes

Questioner Does the Void in the 'Void Sage' have any connection to the Vroshir 'Void'?
Will Wight Ah, sort of, yeah. In the sense that the Void is just what they call the empty expanse outside of existence. And the Void Icon is the concept of non-existence or emptiness as reflected in the Way. So, its power does come from the Way, like any Icon does, so in that regard its not coming from The Void, it is coming from the Way. But you would be able to potentially, that is one potential use of the Void Icon is tapping into The Void.

don’t worry, i hear you, i have the same problems, which is why i’d hoped others could help out once we’d put it together. i’d love it to be as you describe, but i’m struggling just to get content on there full stop let alone we’ll curated and organised ha ha. if you ever get free time and want to help, you are most welcome to do so.
