A Drop d'Issey (OG) is straight up soap+lotion to me. Lilac scented soap.
Midnight Fantasy and Fantasy Did It Again Edition smell like berry shampoos or body washes. Midnight is a plum blueberry and Did It Again is a cherry apple.

I have a sample of Bo and found it too woody and dry for my taste. I never thought of layering with Vanilla Planifolia to freshen it up. I'll try that later.

I love Strawberry Flirt, it's so versatile. I wore that last night all over with Diptyque Eau Rose on pulse points.

I haven't tried the elixir. It's mostly woody and sweet at the same time. There's a hint of fruity but it's not prominent.

Zara Ebony Wood is my favorite from the brand. I don't usually gravitate to wood-forward fragrances but this is so good especially for the cooler months. I feel like it makes me smell like me but better with an added dash of intimacy.

I lost my best friend in March 2022. Every once in a while, I would joke to my husband that I expect the Aztecs to be right and she would be there waiting for me. That in the spirit world, her spirit would grow to be as large as her personality. And when it's time for me to cross the river to reach the underworld, she would recognize me and swim my soul to shore to reach my destination.
Perhaps it's my way of saying that although their bodies may be gone, their big and incredibly vibrant personalities cannot possibly disappear. Whether one believes in their faith's version of the afterlife or simply believes in them living in our hearts and minds, a part of them will always stay with us.

I would not sell something my husband gifted me. But then you know your husband. What would you think he'd feel if he found out you sold it? If he doesn't mind, sell it. If he would be hurt -- even if he denies it -- then don't. You could spray it on sheets or just use it as decoration.

I get my dog's anti-seizure medication from a regular pharmacy since mine uses levertiracetam, which is also a human medication. Zonisamide is also given to humans so a pharmacy should be able to compound it. I give the pharmacy the prescription from the vet. If you're in the US, you can even use the Good Rx app to get a lower price.

If you love the 4711, I recommend decanting into a small atomizer to carry around for a refresh. There are different kinds. I usually use the ones you fill (spray) from the bottom or a glass one that you fill from the top like a regular bottle. A 5 ml atomizer is very small and light.

I have A Drop d'Issey, which is what I use when I want to smell like soap and lotion. But the Dove would have been perfect.

I wore this on my hair during a dental cleaning appointment once. I didn't think I put on much (a few sprays on my hairbrush before brushing) but the hygienist said I smelled so nice. It's such a clean "your skin but better" scent.

Into the Night has an EDP version. It's on the BBW site. I was in the store last night and tested it.
It's also supposed to smells similar to YSL Black Opium.

I don't think this is in Sephora but Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille ruined me for all other woody vanillas. It's boozy and dry, but so expensive (for me) so I'll probably resort to a decant someday.
Another one I thought of is something that seems to be inspired by it. Nest Vanilla Bourbon is also a woody vanilla but it's also warm, sweet, and (of course) boozy. A gourmand and drunker version of Eau Duelle that's perfect for fall and winter. I recommend trying it in case you like it.

As someone whose signature scent has been shredded by multiple reformulations over the years, I recommend testing many other perfumes for new loves. It would be great if you could get bottles with your preferred formulation, but it never hurts to have other options someday when you run out.

This is on the list for my subscription. Can't wait to try it too! But from what I understand from the folks here who own it, it's a more intense mature fragrance. Like "I'm going to a charity event with my Lady Dior handbag" type of perfume. It has chypre elements so I imagine it would have similar vibes to Hermès Barenia, which I consider a dressy scent that can also be worn as a daily driver in moderation since it's stronger than average.
24 might be okay as a daily scent but spray lightly.
