Perhaps you could consider donating to a cause that you are passionate about. It sounds like you are living pretty comfortably so helping others might be a good outlet for some of that extra cash.

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility. This kind of scam already exists where they spoof the CEOs email or cell phone number for text messaging. They could make a recording of the CEOs voice asking for the same thing and it would be much more believable. They could structure it so that there's no back and forth, something like I'm in a hurry please do this thanks bye. The potential payoff for this type of spear phishing attack could be worth it.

I'm not a Trump supporter but I do have many family and friends who are. None of them would think this behavior is ok, even if they do think masks are dumb. Not everyone who thinks differently from you is a caricature and painting with a broad brush like that only creates more division.
