Back when Half-Life 2 was first released, I despised Steam. Now, I have this gargantuan library of games I can download over again as many times as I want, and I guarantee you I would have lost 90% of those discs by now.
I also really dig the steam overlay; the quick shift+tab to instant messaging and a (though modest) browser is awesome. Google docs makes this even cooler; I like to make spreadsheets of crafting components for those games who have them :P

I knew I was hooked from the first spacewalk scene in all its glorious, scientifically accurate silence.

Can't hurt any to have some of the folks from Black Isle Studio in charge of the next instalment in the Fallout franchise
Feargus Urquhart, Obsidian's CEO, was actually The lead designer of Fallout 2, so you know it's in good hands.
My only concern is that Publishing companies seem to have the habit of stepping all over those guys, and Bethesda clearly has no regard for the functional integrity of a title. I can too easily see this being watered down and broken by the combination.

Wow, I didn't know they looked that accurate.
My condolences to the mourning family of whatever poor sod was hoodwinked by Bethesda's art department into shaving a bear.

Sorry, but marriage has existed in law as a secular social contract since at least 1790 BC. By comparison, the current level of association between religion and marriage is as recent as the 16th century, when the Catholic church declared it had exclusive rights to it in order to piss off the reformation movement.
The tradition is way, way older than your religion, and has far more precedence of having little to nothing to do with religion whatsoever, so you guys need to make up your own damn word if you want to be exclusive over semantics; this one is taken.

Note: I've posted this elsewhere, so apologies to anyone who feels like they're reading in circles:
I keep hearing this argument, but it's completely backwards. Marriage is and has been primarily a secular civil union for far longer than organized religion has been around to bitch about this.
- The concept of marriage easily predates any currently practiced religion
- The first example of marriage as an "institution" of any sort in recorded history comes from Babylonian law dating to ca. 1790 BCE, wherein it's described as a social contract.
Judaism, the oldest of the western religions, does not require religious involvement of any kind in order for it to be recognized.
Early Christianity (up until around the 4th century CE) had absolutely no involvement in marriage.
Christianity in the middle ages required no ceremony, the church's official role was that of non-obligatory registration for the sake of records, and jurisdiction of disputes relating to marriage in the ecclesiastical courts.
Only in 1563 did the Catholic church decide it "owned" marriage, requiring a religious ceremony for recognition as part of a campaign to counter the reformation movement.
Trademark denied due to prior use.
If organized religions want their own super-special exclusive label, they should come up with a new one.

I worked for a short time alongside several others, one of whom was a middle-aged french woman with a thick accent, in a crowded bullpen office environment where they always had the radio on. At times, discussion would turn to what was playing.
Long story short, the funniest thing I've ever witnessed is a grumpy 40 year old french lady say "Insane in the membrane" with a totally straight face.

What the hell is lawful good about a dude who regularly barges into other people's homes, smashes up their pottery collection, and runs off with the money they kept in it?
Edit: It's a joke people; yeesh! I'll have you know that I sport a Triforce tattoo and can play the ocarina.

Baseless bullsemantics. Here are a few things to consider:

Absolutely. I could well be proven wrong; I'm just stating a prediction based on casual observations and, admittedly, personal hopes.

I think it's much more likely that those who have difficulties concentrating are attracted to gaming, rather than gaming causing those problems.

“I would suggest you convert to Christ!” Benham shouted over a megaphone. Islam “forces its dogma down your throat.”
Like so many things, this would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

A number of things might lead to this. For one, I'm not clear on the exact details of the detection algorithm; it might allow such votes after a certain elapsed time between them.
Also, If the shared cable/dsl/etc modem were to briefly lose communication with the ISP between the votes, it would likely be assigned a new IP, and then the counter-vote wouldn't occur.
If one of the housemates were to connect from work, use an http proxy for whatever reason, or connect over a mobile phone...
I know how you feel; at least 90% of my time online is split between wikipedia, reddit, and google reader.
