My recommendations is connected to a mixture of the story of the Uma vs the real life stories. Many of the stories of underdogs, those who were the victims of the powerful monsters of their era might be the “offbeat” characters your wife might like.

Look up Win Variation, Verxina, Curren Bouquetdor, Yaeno Muteki, Narita Top Road. These are the heroines who were always second place to the monsters around them.

I really think she’ll love Rice Shower just because of going from the hated to the hero. Looking up the inspirational stories behind a lot of these Uma is really what sells these characters beyond their usual “Oshi pandering” nature.

Sakuradaimon is Miru Wakaba’s trainer, a reference to the fact that Osaichi George and Katsuragi Ace shared the same trainer: Kazumi Domon.

John Aaron, I’m guessing is Folkqueen’s trainer, though the connection is lost to me.

But otherwise the other metrics Opera O was greater. Only horse to surpass Opera O in graded winning streak was Oju (a significantly harder achievement to accomplish in his world).

I’d say a throw up between 2012, Gentildonna and Verxina (Verxina was practically a triple tiara mare in of herself) or 2018 with Almond Eye and Lucky Lilac.

Not only did Gentildonna prove herself repeatedly against the stallions of both 2011 generation and 2013 generation, but the moment Verxina broke out of Gentil’s shadow, she began to dominate the fillies and mares scene.

The same is true for the Almond Eye era. 2018-2020 is known as the era of angry mares. Almond Eye and Chrono Genesis’s generations brought some of the most powerful mares in recent history, who could repeatedly face down the stallions and frequently outshine them. And in the 2020 Japan Cup, Almond Eye proved that not even an undefeated triple crown nor an undefeated triple tiara could defeat her, cementing herself as the strongest cucumber.

It gets very funny. It’s not the first time we’ve paired up uncle and nephew. Rudolf is Sirius’s uncle on his dam’s side.

Low key Cesario is probably the only member who could hold her own against King.

What’s so funny is that Tokai Natural shares a sire with Nice Nature and Twin Bee (Belno Light). Yes, we don’t necessarily count siblings on the Sire side, but it would be so funny if Natural and Nature were siblings.

Your priority is to look at your speed, then wit situation. How is your Kitasan/Tachyon? While Kitasan is going to fall off in the next scenario a bit, she’s still solid nonetheless.

If your speed situation is solid, then you can look at your wit situation. Ramonu (plan for), CB, Fine Motion (going to fall off soon, but still solid).

Only after your speed and wit situation is solid, can you look at bonus cards.

My suggestion would be to hold onto the crystal. Wait for Ramonu banner. Roll everything in Ramonu banner. If you are short 1-2 LB for MLB, then you have a crystal ready for a card whose lifespan will be a good year and a half. If you get her MLB without needing crystal, then you can evaluate who else in your supports can benefit the most from the crystal (or save for Speed El).

Like, I love Ido’s flustered Rudolf x M!Tore, but I also love the “handsome” Rudolf x F!Tore where she’s just sweeping the poor girl off her feet.

Yes on both? As an ToreUma (and Uma Yuri) fan, I like both. In fact, each “gender” (and those in between) generally fall under specific tropes.

Typically Uma x M!Tore fall into a “Tore does handsome/reliable/kind things to make Uma flustered” (Nice Nature, King Halo, Mejiro Dober, Air Groove). Very seinen tropes and often are built around the Tore elevating the Uma. This excludes the more baity “Tore has no rights” memes which really are just memes instead of actual pairings.

Meanwhile Uma x F!Tore’s tropes are reversed. “Uma is handsome, forward, and makes Tore flustered” (looking at you Kris S, Fuji, Sirius, and Tap Dance City). Very shoujo tropes and once again, is built around the Uma elevating the Tore.

I like both and I like those inbetween as well. The more forward types like Buena Vista, Cesario, Curren Bouquetd’or, and Curren-Chan also exist too. And then there’s Rudolf who is both at the same time.

Out of curiosity (since I’m planning my own trip for June), is the Lake Villa Farm open to visit as well?

Sakura Star O avoiding the 87 Arima Kinen. If his trainer and owner had their way and kept Star O out of the race, he would have fully recovered in time for the 88 HaruTen. We might have seen a completely different race between Mejiro Durren, Star O, and Tamamo. Heck, if Star O had stayed in the running and been the third member of the Oguri Tamamo rivalry, that would have changed the timeline so much. The 87 gen might have not been known as the lost generation if Star O had avoided his tragic fall in the Arima.
