Tub stem could be rusting. Is it going off balance or not spinning as well as it use to? Chunks of rust on the bottom of the tub is a sign it could be about to delete itself. If that’s the case it would be a costly repair but might be worth it depending on the condition of the rest of the machine bc they don’t make them like that anymore, unfortunately. GL

if you got it from Amazon just bc the description said it was OEM doesn’t mean that it is. I have order parts a couple times from Amazon were the description clearly said OEM factory certified and when I received it I new it wasn’t. average consumer wouldn’t necessarily know.

Looks good. Make sure the breaker is not tripped. GL if those are ok check door switch and the safety fuse.

UniqueRapture

not that exact one, but the time I tried it took a lot longer then expected

during Covid I ordered some suspension rods from Amazon (for a few customers) bc OEM were back ordered. they all failed around a year later. also ordered some thermal fuses and the description said OEM factory certified and when I received them they were not. I don’t order much from them anymore unless it’s the only option. GL

capillary tube thermostat uses a liquid-filled tube and sensing bulb to mechanically control temperature by expanding or contracting fluid to actuate a switch.

I have rented a pulley puller from the automotive parts store a couple times to remove that pos. it works well and less likely to damage the grear case shaft than other methods. GL

E: pulley puller like this

it’s also not always this obvious (completely broken), I have found several were the thin aluminum wire is broken inside of the sheathing/covering of the wire. I’m starting to hate my job bc of things like this.

before you buy a new drain pump, remove the hose that connect to it and look for an obstruction. you wouldn’t believe how many times I have removed a sock or some other thing and the that was the problem.

Thanks for the update. We appreciate it.

Nice fish! As far as weight goes if you took length and girth measurements there is a mathematical equation to get a close estimate.

Was the tuna a yellowfin? And one of the snook had to be at least 40”. Nice fish!

E; looked again black fin?

How fast can it go? Saw one recently in my neighborhood, got to talk to the guy and I think he said it could go 70mph or better which sounds insane

I think it’s on the heater can. Next to the thermal fuse. Blower housing looks like the thermistor and another thermal cut off. To be completely honest I try to stay away from Samsung bc of all of their issues. I just know from the ones I am familiar with when we replace the thermal fuse we usually replace the thermostat at the same time to prevent a call back due to a run away thermostat. Also check the vent. I know you did that I’m just relaying our procedure. Gl

UniqueRapture

Have you replaced the operating thermostat high limit thermostat? I would try that next time you are in there it could be allowing it to get to hot and the thermal fuse is there to help prevent a fire. I would recommend OEM GL

UniqueRapture

Thanks for the update. They can be difficult to remove sometimes and other times I can’t believe how easy they come off. Also they can be reversed thread. Gl

UniqueRapture

have you checked the blower wheel? could be something in the housing and or check the wheel for movement/wobble. GL

UniqueRapture

Good to know. I dont see many air gaps where I’m at and I service these things weekly. I was taught to always have a high drain loop.

UniqueRapture

check it for continuity before replacing. if it’s not the defrost thermostat or defrost heater then it will likely be the electronic control if it doesn’t have a defrost timer like you mention in another comment. GL

UniqueRapture

Length might not matter but it should have a high drain loop to help prevent water from the sink siphoning back into the dishwasher.

Did you grease the inside of the foam and the rod?

Yes it was kind of messy the first time working with it and the grease is very sticky. Thought it was going to work. Very optimistic but didn’t get the results I expected. The cut hose sounds like it’s worth trying tho. Thanks for the info
