If you don't mind heading to Burnaby, today Metrotown McD (Beside Chapters) has Jin.

I'm actually speechless when I'm watching this for testing my headphones. I didn't know someone could sing like this passionately in live and my ears actually feels the emotions through her voice. The timing of the peacock spreading feathers is epic. It's awesome.

Berabou 9 - I really like how Fuka Koshiba acted as Segawa/Hananoi here, very elegant and her voice on duty sounded so smooth. It's way different than what I watched in "Nami yo Kiitekure", which it's also impressive. I'm quite amazed.

Peacock - Hopefully next episode will have something more happening. The progressing is indeed quite slow. It would be a bit better if there are more info parts other than the visiting house.

I will probably peace out from here. I'm very happy that I joined this sub a few years ago and reading the English side of this hobby. I will probably stick with my JP community for dramas since I feel that it's much more closer in wavelength than here.

what do japanese people tend to watch most on TV?

Well... Local news & weather of course. If it's the old style typical family watchers, Asaichi あさイチ (Morning talk show with daily bits), 3mins cooking (For moms), Friday road show (Ghibli and Disney stuff), Sunday dramas (ie. This season it's Mikami sensei, Berabou, Hotspot), Asadora & Taiga, Music station if your oshi is there

Nowadays : Some might not even have a TV lol Streaming services and phone are huge now.

BTW, is this your assignment? Good luck.

Edited: Oh wow I get downvoted by answering honestly. Oh well I guess someone have huge dislike opinions on how my family & friends watch tv.

Still having a great time this season.

Berabou 7 - Very nice episode. Everyone singing happily while book binding and the attack of the woodblock carving master are so cozy & funny. Hand carving such small letters for entire page is probably quite difficult.

Even though the other book have beautiful cover and Ogawawashi paper (Good quality paper from Saitama. 1300 years ago!), they kinda lose because its content and its weight. I wonder if this happens nowadays, would people still pick the good content/layout one or the pretty cover/high quality paper one?

Who saw the peacock dance in the jungle? 4 - Dat water might be a hint... Or just nothing heh

It's Midori's traveler notebook. While I don't know whether the owner brought it from Japan or locally (ie. Buchan's Kerrisdale Stationery), you could try posting on r/planners or r/midori to find its owner. TN users tends to be quite active on IG too, so tag its location on IG might also helps.

Hope you find its owner. The writing and drawing looks very nice. Good luck to you.

NP. I didn't do much other than blahing what I experienced, you did all the works so good job. :)

And... I honestly think that your part along with the other wikis and communities that holds legit sources, fansubs and genuine discussions without the marketing/influence bs are the "good part" of the internet which might getting rare these days and I hope all these could continue in future.

I have a great time in January, finished a few books.

What if? Anniversary edition by Randall Munroe which is fun and interesting to read and the solution approaches are kind of chaotic. And also Nexus by Yuval Noah Harari which I still need some deep thoughts about the author's take. A bit too much for me.

My next book for the start of February will be The serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer, hopefully it's going to be a chilling book.

Oh wow, I'm actually amazed that this site is done by single developer. Props to you! And it also includes other drama in other countries which is neato.

I went on your site using phone and the right dial finder layout kinda hidden to the left side which is not accessible. So I hope the mobile layout could be a bit more user friendly.

Just my 2 cents. I often checkout jdorama through news and found some neat dramas through the awards list/trendy list at sidebars. (ie. Yahoo!JP) If your site could provide tracking to the drama that received awards/places/#hashtags(ie. like extremely inappropriate! has a trend word "ふてほど" from 流行語大賞 & Nikkei entertainment's #推し活MAP), it would be great. This might also boost the SEO & dynamic linking in some way.

If you are in US & Canada, Jme has both Mikami sensei & Berabou. (The legit way) And VPN probably works if you are looking into other legit streaming services.

I understand your struggles. I think it boils down to the viewers, and most likely they don't even know themselves too. Sometimes you could tell that the person is trying to find resonates through the drama, whether it's through the chemistry between the characters(ie. Romance/ships) or the cultural values/preference/methods to live in the current society. If any of these are not aligned with their own, then the drama is just not the one to recommend(Even if the drama is super popular). The closest thing to recommend would be just a dupe of their other favourites.

TBH, with the trend of AI, I'd just let them ask AI instead.

And my lazy take for my friends is to just let them pick their dramas from the recent seasons. Maybe they would learn something new or understand how far they would accept, and if they have issues with the drama, at least they can join into the discussions posts somewhere and find their own people for recommendations. I'm only providing popcorns.

For this season:

  • Who Saw the Peacock Dance in the Jungle - The story is interesting and intriguing. The drama quality and atmosphere is also great and smooth. And the perfect display of the Pilot iroshizuku fountain pen ink that also named Ku-jaku (Peacock) with sheen on letter. Nice. The dad basically pulled out a parker fountain pen. Extremely well prepared. Right after the drama I went ahead and finish the manga. I need more.

  • Berabou - Well. It's like history porn with educational info like bookbinding(They even included the woodcarving part of the press and the threading of bookbinding). The dude is basically diy & publishing flower porn books. The opening animation seems to be all the foreshadowing on the later episodes, so more incidents and disasters?

Yup yup. Also thank you for starting this thread. :)

I'm planning to watch "Berabou" as well as "Who saw peacock dancing?" for this season. Hopefully I'm in for a good ride.

Yeah. I like the simple style. It just works. :) Hope you found your ideal 2025 planner too!

Merry Christmas and an early happy new year to you!

Use_your_head

Glad to hear that you found your 2025 planner combos too!

It's like a different adventure when switching to entire new planner, you might adjust to something completely new, or hate it and goes back to the old one. My old planner pattern is just not enough for me this year, so it's time to go for entire new structure with new focus (ie. New life milestone and new focus, not just "me" but those who are surrounding me). It's actually something that I'm very looking forward to.

I hope your combos works out well in 2025. Merry Christmas! :) And an early happy new year to you.

I'm switching from Hobonichi to Muji planner (The B6 4-days-at-glance one), with a blank notebook to separate important infos from planner. Not only it's way more pages & space to write on, I'm trying to plan using its 4 day setup. So maybe start 1 day, progress 2 days, finish last day for random projects like fitness, small trips/events and stuff. It's my first time going for something outside of 7days/week setup so hopefully it works out.

I also removed most of the tracking logs once it became stable habits, so no more logs pages that serve no future purpose in 2025.

So my planner is focus mainly on my 2025 life improvements overall.

Infos/Journaling will be in the blank binded notebook. I feel that it's much more smoother to read & organized this way.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm surprised that they actually use "ghost ship" to describe these ships. This bug actually freaking me out so much that I stopped picking up any ships in my main save. So happy that this patch is finally out! Thank you!

Use_your_head

Steamdeck. Latest patch(Aquarius Patch 5.11).

TL;DR: Salvaged ships are coming back as "Aegis of the void" green hauler in summon list during expedition 15.

During the expedition 15, I found two crashed ships on one of the planet in R1. Added both into my collection. Fixed the engine. Salvaged one of the ship in space station. Ended the gaming session for resting. I resumed the game on the next day and found that there is a green hauler named "Aegis of the void" in place of the salvaged ship on summon list. So I was curious about the situation, I salvaged the second crashed ship, save restore point by get on/off to my main ship, exit game. Restart the game and the same thing happened as the second Aegis of the void appeared in my summon list.

Before this patch, I did salvaged a few ships in R2~3 and it was all normal. I also did brought a NPC solar ship (using replace/trade-in option) at space station, not sure if this might be the cause or not. I did not noticed anything special at that point.

Still watching :

  • Shinjuku field hospital : I enjoyed the recent two episodes so much. It's very difficult to describe the entire drama without spoilers. The caregiver story part is just so emotional that made me tear a bit. All the laugh and tears... I think I'm going to miss this drama when it ends.

  • Smiling Matryoshka : The Seike-lost meeting is shockingly well done. The laugh of both actress syncing gave me eerie feeling. As the story heading to the end, I'm not too sure about Michiue's part. I thought she is trying to find out the truth of her father's incident, but it turned into "Seike is looking for someone to rescue him!!! Let's dig up all his background!!", just because of the random line of "U look me, I look U O_O".

I'm looking SOO forward to Tamiou R next season!!! Hopefully it's as good as the first season!
