Everyone complaining about semantics. Microsoft never called BSD a cancer. The only reason Linux is what is is today is because it could not be closed. Yes they are all open-source, but some are opensource for ever some are open source until they aren't. There is a difference.

I'm just kidding, way back when I had to manually turn on alsa and my network card on every boot. Could not get persistent configs.

I'm staying on Mandrake.

I am forced to use windows at work, power toys is very useful. Simple things like always on top, so the menu for my ERP system never gets covered by other windows.
And not power toys but virtual desktop in windows 11 is useful too. My workflow clutters easy.

1 this will not happen, Apple and Samsung will fight this.
2 if you want to limit e-waste mandate longer support cycles Samsung(recently) and Apple are both up to 5 to 7 years, but smaller competitors are still at 2.

Its going to be a ragtag government, kudos to the BC bureaucracy that will need to take their crazy concepts and try to make reality of it.
Chances are they will swing back to center after they see what they can actually accomplish.

If you dont have the ability to audit code your self, I would no longer use omarchy. Consider it compromised, its getting funding for a reason. What is the reason, I have no clue, but big money expects a return.

What i mean is, If the model is not running on hardware in Sweden then its not entirely sovereign. The model can't exactly forget what i read.
If it reads a document or is told a secret it "learns" it, thats the fine print.
Userwerd
I appreciate the direction but they should read the fine print on copilot eula. Would be better to use either mistral, or shell out for local.

Thats what she said.

Vlad Dracul of Wallachia, also known as Vlad the impaler. Spent his entire rule fighting Ottomans trying to break into South Eastern Europe, and putting them on pikes as display of deterrence.
He's the inspiration for Count Dracula.
Read up on him its quite the story.

Islam is not going to take over the west. We have bigger enemies and bigger problems. Stop watching Fox news.
Userwerd
You're missing the comparison here. Christianity bulldozed European Paganism, just like Islam did to Mesopotamia.
Userwerd
Not sure why the downvote here.
Ottomans had head tax on non islam, true.
And unlike Christians who were happy hang a cross and a corpse on a building and call it a church, early Islam did not always allow building conversions, nor did they offer them clemencies of sanctuary. Famous examples like Hagia Sofia's change to a mosque are much more recent, than the first Arabs entering Persia.
Userwerd
They already did, Spain and count Dracula chased them out.
Userwerd
Devils advocate, what do you think happend to European paganism?
Some of it was slow organic absorption, but most pagans were converted by the sword not the cross.

Raise wages, I'll do almost anything if I can buy a house with it.
