Some medications can cause it like trazodone.
Thats why on the viagra ads they give the 'if your erection lasts more than 4 hours seek immediate medical treatment' warning. It can turn very serious very quickly. To the extent that gangrene in your pecker is the least of your concerns compared throwing clots into your lungs.

I remember a time when people with mental conditions just suffered in silence and didn't talk about it for fear of stigma. I used to think it was horrible and people should be more open so they could get help.
Well.... here we are now. Im sorry everyone.
VAdept
Its like this because people with actual disabilities are working to the best of their abilities and arent looking for tiktok/instagram clout and echo-chamber sympathy.
Its easy to have a room full of nice things when your parents throw money just to keep you in your room and not embarass them in public.

So whats your solution? WAC-7% isn't working, AWP -25% isnt working.
Its not the solution, but we cant get worse off than we already are, and its a positive change. NADAC + $13 like some state medicaid programs pay would help a ton.
The only chain that has a benefit to tank NADAC is CVS. WAG is in the same boat as the indy's since they dont have a PBM to pad their books.
Between MFP taking 2+ weeks to hit the account, the wholesalers fucking us over, and the PBM's paying us under cost on most trade name shit I mean how much more can we take.
Breaking up CVS from Caremark will level the playing field (but really it wont be that level) however as long as the politicians are getting their fat donation checks that'll never happen. Of course APhA doesn't give 2 shits about retail.
VAdept
They make money on spread pricing.
NADAC is documented, WAC varies between wholesalers. They find a shit-wholesaler with a low WAC and that sets their baseline.
VAdept
Everything should be based on NADAC. Why we still use WAC or AWP anymore is beyond me*
*actually its not, paying via NADAC makes less money for the PBM's.
VAdept
But thats all of retail.
Yes we see a lot more in pharmacy but talk to any grocery store clerk about 'THE SIGN SAID THIS WAS ON SALE WHY IS NOT ON SALE!*!@*!@' when the sign is for a completely different product.
The public has always been difficult to work with, however the amount of entitlement people have with us makes the difficulty 100x worse.
VAdept
Almost always a name issue. You'll need the card and play "Guess the order" like you need to do when billing MediCal.
and lol that cures tab and the medicalRx, ipledge, and CMM bookmark that happens to look similar to mine.
VAdept
Maria is a safe bet too.
VAdept
I use that same line, and when phrased that way it makes more sense to them since they wouldn't want some meds that went home with a random person.
VAdept
I was in retail during the early 2000's with the trinity and just buckets of narcotics. The fun experiment got us used as human shields and the DEA all up our asses over shit out of our control.
Oh yeah and a lot of people died too.
VAdept
Let the AMA deal with all the bullshit we deal with from all the boomers who can't use a fucking computer and send random Rx's over with fucked up sigs.
Oh you want 10cc of lantus q8 after meals? Sure!
AMA is just as useless as APhA, bunch of idiots who havent practiced in 30+ years who enjoy sniffing each others farts.
VAdept
I didnt know E11.9 was for that cipro rx! Neat!
When they are on there, its the same ICD10 for every single Rx.

You act like we have a choice. Corresponding responsibility is literally in federal and state law that we are on the hook.
Life is full of situations where the shitty people ruin it for the legit people; driving laws, gun laws, stuff being locked up at stores due to theft, etc.
In this case you should be absolutely feel that people who sell their meds should never get pain pills again. Their act pissed in your punchbowl and ruined it for you. Don't shit on us, shit on the people who cause these laws to be made in the first place.
VAdept
We've been getting our MediCalRx payments. I know they withhold payments during june for the budget, but all of that is well over by now.
VAdept
Look at APhA's corporate supporters page and thats all you need to know about where we are headed.
Wholesalers, Chains, and of course CVS Health. Everyone who is divebombing pharmacy into the ground.

The fact you're seeing a trend by the patient and the MD and you are not doing anything is going to bite you in the ass if the patient is caught selling and an investigation starts.
Either boot the patient, or no more early fills at all regardless of what the MD or anyone says. If the patient doesn't like it then there's the door. I'd seriously consider cutting that MD off because if they get investigated guess who else is getting a visit and questions asked.
VAdept
You can do this the easy way or the hard way but I’m demanding your attention.
You're not buried for being right, you're being buried for being toxic to the company you're working for. Pharmacy is an extremely small world, and we all talk to each other. You act pushy with one store and everyone in town is going to tell you to GTFO the moment they see you walk in the front door because they dont want to deal with you.
If you have the secret to success with sales in pharmacy go start your own pharmacy and make a lot of money with your secrets.
VAdept
Lol just shitting out vials. More stable supply chain than what we currently use.

This is the most sense ive heard in this post.

Heres some insight from someone in the trenches. Dont take offense to this, but heed my warning.
Here's my situation: I'm a sales rep for a prescription delivery company that's been in business 10+ years. We work with 600+ pharmacies and hospitals, we have human dispatchers on the floor (not bots), HIPAA trained drivers and we've genuinely helped pharmacies reduce patient call volume and bring in new patients they would have otherwise lost.
Yeah you and every other delivery company like yours. I've heard this 1000 times promising the moon as your charge us out the ass. We're barely breaking even as it is. That $80 dollar loss on the GLP1 is made up by the other 10 Rx's they get to barely get us out of the red. Then you want to deliver the meds for $20? At that point I shouldn't even have that patient because I'm doing busy work for nothing.
But here's what frustrates me: I call a pharmacy, I can't even get transferred to the manager, I get brushed off like I'm selling insurance, and then months later, that same pharmacy calls US to use our service.
You're right, because we get hammered by wholesalers with "Specials", AT&T, Comcast, Merchant Services, and everyone else under the sun who want 30 seconds to speak to the manager on the daily. I had AT&T walk into the store today and harass my clerk over switching our phone service over. We really don't like salesmen wasting our time. If we need a service like this, we'll contact you. Cold calling us is guaranteed to piss us off and have us never do business with you.
I get it. You're slammed. The last thing you need is another person pitching something over the phone. But this isn't a software subscription or a benefits package, it's a service that takes real work off your plate and keeps patients on their medications.
Does it though? Most of us indy's have our own in-house delivery service, thats why we're still in business. The rates on commercial delivery drivers is way too high. Plus the patients like the delivery driver thats been with us for years and years.
So I'm genuinely asking: what would it take for you to give a 60-second pitch a fair shot? Is it the timing of the call? The way it's opened? Would a walk-in work better than a phone call?
For getting it that we're slammed, why would you think it would be a good idea to walk in? If we cant give you 60 seconds on the phone do you really think walking in, making us stop what we're doing to walk out thinking you're with the state board or DEA (because someone nicely dressed holding a bag/clipboard makes our assholes pucker) only to give us a sales pitch is going to make us want to do business with you?

Huh, I didnt know a pharmacist could also be a chiropractor.
