The polygamy/polyamory may work in your late 30s when you don't care as much, but your friend & his fiancee will be long divorced by then, unless they are truly free love hippies. If that idea was offered to me by my best friend (at age 23), i would have been way too nervous. Currently in my mid 40s, I'd kick myself for not doing it back then... I rarely still see my friends from my 20s. Ultimately it all depends how emotionally attached you become to your friend's fiance after you smooch.

In-person Estate sales & yard sales/garage sales may be better than online auctions. It seems like the names Stihl & Husqvarna demand a premuim, but their homeowner saws are marginal at best in the last 10 years. I'd target a Stihl MS 261 C-M with a 16" bar if you are working on smaller stuff (20"dbh trees). Any saw you look at should have decent compression (you should be able to feel it in the recoil if you don't have a compression test kit).
