It was a great ride. Had some tears in the end. I understand the decision to basically end the series here. Thanks to the production committee who endured 3 studio changes to reach here and basically finish the story. Geek Toys were the heroes we deserved in the end getting the most lore and story heavy seasons to adapt. Can't say enough how great the books are, and that people should read if they love the series. A lot of details and stuff to discover.

Even though there were a lot of stuff cut in earlier seasons (big kudos to Geek Toys for doing an amazing job at that front), rewatching is a great experience after having context of stuff down the line.

Nice read. Most of it was my thoughts on the chapter as well.

If I was to add something... Kaz has paired romantic intimacy with sex intimacy and what being in relationship means. And that's has been a theme all this time when he is imagining other people in relationships. So, his worst subconscious fear is bound to be Chiz having sex with another guy and to make matters worse, Umi who thinks is the best match for a girl like Chiz. It may as well be seen as a way for his brain to kill all his happy memories with Chiz so he can move on. It's a deep chapter (no pun intended) and a lot of opinions and views can actually be valid.

In the end, the big question is... was the explicit content necessary? I would say yes because any other way would possibly lack the emotional impact. And ofc if it was just Kaz crying over imagining Umi x Chiz romantic dates, the fandom would have crushed him yet again.
