I watched this movie several times as a kid and only NOW decades later understood the double meaning of habit.

Robert Heinlein would be proud.

Yeah, be careful of smaller bags that have narrow gap between backpack straps, it'll creep up on your neck and squeeze inward. Not as much of an issue with light loads though so I could be overthinking it.
I'm a huge fan of the various pockets on the Synapse/Synik. I recommended the Synapse to you because it doesn't have a laptop compartment and it's not a clamshell opening...so you're less likely to have the bag spill open if you're trying to access it on the move. But the Synik has the back panel and laptop compartment and is less likely to allow your equipment to dig into your back.
VerbalBadgering
I must confess that the Synik has been my work commuter pack for a month and that I'm in Seattle. Doesn't get very hot or sweaty here so I can only tell you that it has mesh padding on the back, but also that it doesn't have a lot of the fancy channels and extra thick padding that other bags have.

Any hints on height, how broad your shoulders are, bags you've tried that you know are uncomfortable?
I recently got turned on to Tom Bihn bags and they have the Luminary 15. I haven't tried that specific one yet, but the backpack straps on my Synik have a magically soft yet firm foam in them that I love for comfort. But the Luminary doesn't have the "breathable material" on the back like their larger bags do...I assume because it's meant as a day pack and they don't expect heavy loads will make the bag cling to your back.
But if your camera equipment has sharp bits that might dig into your back then I might look at bags that have padding or a firm back panel.
In which case the Synapse 19 would be better for you, which is a bit bigger than 15l but I think would be better for dense uneven equipment .

I found out about these from one of this guy's videos. I'd been using 5.11 bags for the morale patches and these magnetic ones have been the reason I could branch out.
I will say that the magnets are strong and I have this holdover where I don't want to put it near a pocket where my wallet might be but otherwise I fully endorse.
VerbalBadgering
Something something bigger on the inside.

Tenet is a fantastic logic problem...but not a great movie.
I say this as a fan of his work, and I still enjoyed Tenet because I enjoyed trying to figure it out and search for clues.
But I absolutely can understand why so many people don't give it love.
VerbalBadgering
Eh, you know what? I'm starting to think I've made too many assumptions here. Don't know how tall OP is, don't exactly know why they're considering replacing the cpl 24. Maybe they need just a little extra room but not a lot.
Synik 22 has closer overall measurements to the cpl 24 so maybe the S26 would be good. But laptop size is limited in the 22.
Lol, maybe just forget I said anything.
Edit: spelling
VerbalBadgering
I'm not gonna fight too hard on this. Yes, it's a bit smaller. I just think that OP described a desire for a more substantial difference than going from a 30 to a 26.
VerbalBadgering
As someone who just recently bought a Synik 26 and a Synapse 25 and was at their showroom the other day playing with all the pockets...
I can tell you that the difference between Synik 30 and Synik 26 is mostly in the "chin" pocket...the bottom zip pocket is smaller on the 26, and by smaller I still mean ample.
I personally wouldn't recommend you even consider the 26 if you didn't like the 30.
VerbalBadgering
This is me right here... Original owner, all stock, made it to 90k before remembering that I'd never changed the plugs.
VerbalBadgering
My only gripe, hot take, whatever:
Magic was still just reduced to projectiles.
They were still technically just shooting at each other. I want illusions, summoning, reality bending... Like I think it would have been cool if they could have made it like one of them blocked out all light to complete darkness, then they visualize a sonar battle where they are using sound to distract each other or pretend they are somewhere they arent and then fire sound blasts or use whips to try and trap each other.
Don't just use magic to shoot at shields back and forth.
VerbalBadgering
Hmmm, any actual knives that show a design you want to follow?
The Quiet Carry Reform is a little less blocky, but... I'm not sure you're ever going to get a utility knife that isn't brickish due to how tall the blade and blade holder have to be.
There was a slip joint utility knife by Serge-something that was a bit rounded but it's not in production last I knew...secondhand only.
Or the Hawk Shortcut...that one is less brick, but you either have to get the aliexpress version or spend a few hundred on it.

I'm a fan of the tirant, for what it's worth.
But I think BigIdesign has what you're really looking for.

6'2", glove size right in between medium and large, have shield plus and bg2.0
I recommend actually shooting them. The trigger reach is what will affect how you shoot. I see so many posts about the bg shooting left and I thought it was true but what was happening was I thought I could shoot with the middle section of my finger on the trigger because of the size. But using the biddle section causes more of a trigger pull to the side when squeezing. I stopped pulling left when I used the pad of my fingertip and trained to pull the trigger without turning the whole gun.
But what I found is that the trigger guard was small/close enough that I was also having a harder time finding the trigger quickly on draw. Not a huge deal. Can be trained and improved. But I vastly prefer the shield plus. Easier to find the trigger, easier to pull the trigger without pulling the aim, still compact. But the bg is a better pocket gun if you need it. With a holster of course.
Maybe you might prefer the bg with a little training...but I'm happier with the shield.

Eh, I agree... However if you get into sharpening, maintenance, customization and trading out parts, then it's leaning into hobby.

I have the vortex ccw enclosed on my p09c, cowitnesses fine. Not sure if those sights are compatible but worth looking into
Otherwise I would check Dawson Precision like someone else said.
VerbalBadgering
Nobody has put it here and I'm not going to die on this hill...
I have one by Mophie. About the size of a Bible, does jump start AND air compressor for tires as well as an AC outlet, holds charge for a long time and I have used it to jump many different vehicles
It may not be the best but it has worked great for me.
That being said, I'm going to start researching the other suggestions in case mine needs replacing.
VerbalBadgering
I think, warranty wise, it's in S&W's interest to not allow the user to disassemble or repair their own firearm for liability reasons. Bad PR if someone loses a hand/finger/eye because all S&W did was send the replacement part and not test the repairs themselves.
Took a month turnaround.
I looked at my bodyguard and at your old post and I would recommend sending yours in. Mine doesn't look curved and I don't have any cycling or extraction issues. Given that I experienced a broken extractor already, I just wouldn't chance it with trying to make a curved one work.
VerbalBadgering
It works just fine after I sent it to s&w warranty I was able to put a few hundred rounds through it just fine
VerbalBadgering
I have a crucarta pm2 that had pretty bad lock stick.
Many many repetitive fidgetations later it locks and unlocks smoothly.
I wouldn't personally put lube on the lock face. If you are going to disassemble then you might wipe it down but lune on theblock face might make it disengage a little easier.
Which honestly probably isn't a big deal if you aren't spinewacking the thing...but I'd still rather wear it in naturally.
Have both, and I started with the 26 and moved up to the 30.
For you, I'd say stick with 26.
I'm 6'2" and I can wear the 30 without feeling overencumbered. The primary spot where you can see the difference in capacity is the chin pocket, the one on the outside bag at the bottom. It's much bigger on the 30, but it's plenty big on the 26 and from what you listed you won't need the bigger chin pocket.
Actually, another caveat to this is the side-access laptop zipper. You'll be able to fit the 14 inch laptop in there but the zipper opening is a little bit short. Kinda like trying to move a piece of furniture through a small door into a big room...you have to turn it sideways a bit to get through the entrance and then you're golden once you get past the door. So I go with the 30 these days...but if someone took my 30 and told me to live with the 26 then I'd be very happy.
