Amateur. I'm two TLAs rolled up in one.
Proof: My left hand doesn't know what my right is doing, and vice versa.

When we talk about "drinking the Kool-Aid", it implies people are willfully drinking.
It's not about willingness to die, it's about willingness of being a part of a cult. The phrase means that a group is in so deep, they put everything on the line, including their own lives.
Proof: Nobody ever uses "drinking the Kool-aid" for meaning "committing suicide" (forced or not). That is simply not the vernacular. So no matter where the phrase came from, it means essentially "blindly following without question, despite danger to oneself".
This isn't math. English is a living language--it doesn't matter if it's historically inaccurate; that is now what it actually means despite the pedants and despite the etymology. You can argue that saying "I feel naseous" only means you think you make other people sick, but that would also be incorrect (instead of saying "I feel nauseated"). Living. Language.

Having a doctor as one of your initial dups was a must.

Many years ago in a city where everyone only drove beaters, a friend went to the grocery store in his crappy car and drove home. Got home and realized it wasn't his car. It was so old, the keys were so worn, he took someone else's car. He drove back to the parking lot to a bewildered person standing by his doppleganger car.

OP: A long while back, a woman posted about strange things happening like this, including notes written to her in her own writing. (That's the post-it notes comment below.) A random redditor told her to get a carbon monoxide detector, and that's what it was. She had severe poisoning, and could've died. So whenever someone posts a mystery that just sounds really unlikely, this poses a real possibility.
Seriously, get your air checked with a gas detector or CO alarm.

I've heard a lot of complaints about crashing after the recent big patch.
Try clearing your video cache if using nvidia, and shader cache in-game. That fixed some issues I had a couple months ago.

I think the biggest thing is once you get into UVHM, where slag becomes so important, and he can use the grognozzle in one hand. Seems like all the other VHs have much more annoyance to deal with slag.

(ok haters.. have your fun)
I wouldn't hate on a file format, and a decent one at that. But I've still never been asked to provide 32F by post.
Dialogue just doesn't have much dynamic range, naturally, or in a movie. In a movie, when people whisper, you hear it. When they yell, you hear it only a little louder. And it cuts through music and sound effects. So basically, they compress the hell out of dialogue and have to do that because otherwise you get an unintelligible mess that nobody can hear. So in that respect, we don't need the extreme range 32F can provide... it just doesn't make sense that it's "better", except in those very rare cases where you vastly underestimate the volume and blast your limiters.
I would think 32F would be great for things like orchestral and choral pieces, but I rarely hear of that being used for music. Seems like a perfect use.

I vaguely remember seeing this but it's been a minute since I've played. No ideas.
Also lol@someone downvoting you. Weird.

I like straight cables, too, but you definitely want to secure it to your bag. It can easily get snagged and you don't want it tearing at the connector on the recorder with no warning. That's one of the only reasons I used coiled. Most of the time I use wireless these days.
Vuelhering
That was exactly my thought. Like the mission where he pays you leap to your death, he laughs like that.

Similar style, colors, and joke but completely different comic.
I'm now suspecting the comic was filtered through AI at some point.

They have multiple finishes, afaik. That egg-shaped foam is easy to identify as schoeps.
Vuelhering
Yeah. I mean, that's the theory, but I never really tested it. As soon as it fills it blows up, then amp drops it immediately, to do it again.
Vuelhering
Coiled cables are measured by their extended length. You want it longer than you think because you need some slack. It should not drag on the ground when the boom is at bag height, and it'll coil up (but will stretch out, so it'll easily be twice the size of the shortest length once you use it a little).
I think mine is 6'. I'd get one 5 or 6 feet. If your boom has a side exit, get one with a normal connector. If boom xlr is on bottom, get a 90 degree one.

$1000 is hitting pro level of mics. At that level I hear the dpa 2017 is really good, but haven't heard it yet. Specs are great.
At the extreme budget level I can recommend the AT875R at around $150. It's built like a toy, but performs well.

You really should've spent more time on those feathers. Looks like you stamped them out with a boot heel.
(yes, that's a joke. Holy crap. Also hope things are going good with your emergency.)

She can build both shield and overshield with Teen Witch mod, but I found having some siphon worked better for me. It helped guarantee it didn't collapse from the Ohm eating the shield.
edit: that reminds me of a shield I found a while back
which I never played around with... it would cause explosions a lot. I should've tried that with watt witch, but never did.
Vuelhering
No, overshield doesn't count towards amp. But overshield gives +25% shock damage. And small plinks don't affect amp because it'll hit overshield first. So this is a great shield for adding amp. Super Soldier is another good one, especially if your character can also gain overshield.
An example is the Watt Witch build for Vex, where she blasts the hell out of things and damaging enemies recharges her shield. Using amp, it makes amp refresh incredibly fast so every shot or every other shot is basically amped without having to go through the normal shield recharge cycle.
So this shield with amp is insane for characters that can recharge it, because it not only gives the extra 100% damage, but an additional +25% from shock bonus due to overshield.
If something does punch through the overshield, damage drops off pretty fast because you lose the amp AND the bonus shock damage. (And in my case, if you're using Ohm I Got, it burns your shield out lol. Lots of risk and lots of reward.)
Vuelhering
I thought siphon was 5%, and that is a double. But I could be misremembering.
Vuelhering
Amp is good for any shield, but this shield specifically adds to your damage. So if you have an ability to refresh shields, with siphon, this particular shield adds even more.
I like the double-amp (100%) and single-siphon (5%), but I only have a level 50 version.
Vuelhering
Well right, but you'd think a devil would encourage it. That's why it was bizarre.
But makes more sense that it's a specific character.
Before smartphones, I used to have "The Elements of Style" by Strunk and White sitting by the toilet. It's pretty entertaining reading, esp if you're into trivia and pedantry. (One of the authors, E.B. White, also wrote Charlotte's Web and Stuart Little.) Edit: it's available as a pdf online.
Tons of great usage tips in it, but many are out of date at this point. However, the one for nauseous was hilarious:
