I haven't watched sonce S1, the whole thing is pretty much cancer. How many carajos, chingadas, puntas, and coños were dropped in the middle of dialogue for no reason?

You can reprogram, though. I was raised in a full-blown WASP-right wing household and toed the line because I didn't know better and I wanted to belong.
But then I met people who were of "the other", and they were objectively better people than the hate I had grown up in. It wasn't easy, and I'm still working on it, but if you know your primary social circle subsides on hate of an identity, consider a better cesspool.
Like, yeah. These memes would mean braining my old man upside the head, but Fox News made his brain into mush anyway, so there's no point. It's a fucking pixel goat. There's worse things to shit your e-drawers over.

Should have picked Zweihander.
The mentality of "how do I make the experience unfun" is a huge red flag and you shouldn't be a DM with that mindset.

Dragon Age was always a bit of a neglected step-child. The tone and aesthetics changes so drastically from Origins to 2, where Inqusition at least tried to reconcile the disparity. It also has some of the better supporting cast in the franchise.

The issue with horror in D&D is that horror ultimately stems from a position of powerlessness, which is fundamentally antithetical to the average player ethos. They want their reddit certified power build to be able to kill god.
Even when Elden Ring came out, and my table was hyperfixated and wanted "an elden ring experience", no they didn't. Because as soon as I made fights ball-crushing and implemented EXP loss on defeat, like you experience in FromSoft games, they lost their shit.
Can you make horror work in D&D? Sure. It's a Swiss army knife. It can do a lot of things okay, none of them great. If you want horror in tabletop, or any cornerstone genre, there's something out there that does it better.

I love that item so much I made a whole Yandwre "riflu" line.

So, the answer is complicated. Every splat core book has a different take on Life, the Universe, and Everything. All of them actively contradict each other to some degree, so I'd say pick your preferred splat and start there.

I wanted to see the Philharmonic Vampyres and PrimeTime Boys so bad in 2077. At least we got Ozob

Yeah, same. The last decent pbp RP experience I had was in 2020, and I'd been at the hobby since I got my first personal computer in the early 2000s.
It was a shame the rp crumbled, because it had a lot going for it, but it ultimately boiled down to the same things mentioned by OP. I've looked around here and there on a lark, but if it isn't pure ERP or cottagecore, it's Fandom RP for MHA or Warrior Cats, or whatever BookTok trend is bursting people's bodices that week.

Acknowledge that actual wolf hierarchy in the wild is a family, ergo WtA would be a better mafia game than VtM

W5 writers overcorrecring so hard they made Werewolf all ass anyway
WaggleFinger
If WtA doesn't have a data center monkeywrenching mission in the coming years/edition, the writers really have lost all the teeth they had back in the old days.

Pentex is some peak villainy. They have range. They can go from cartoonish mustache twirling villains to truly vile and insidious monsters

Homid Ahroun Fianna that went through his first change at 9 because of an abusive father armed with a claw hammer. The character went from being an unrepentant rage-monster to a "papa wolf" to his found family as he gradually came to terms with and overcame the trauma that made him.

I was raised on Zorro. Rapiers will always be peak.
