It takes prolonged skin on skin contact to catch scabies from another person. I tell my employees when training, that if they come to me saying they think they caught scabies from a patient, we will be having a very concerning conversation about how they think it happened.

I've had the immense pleasure of working with two separate individuals with aspd. Only knew it because they were both very open about it. It was nothing like what a socio or psychopath are depicted like in media. Neither could keep any emotion or feeling to themselves. They also both had the habit of thinking everyone was out to get them. I've had worse employees but they were certainly a handful.

I always think about an interview when I see sick children like this. The interview was with Stephen Fry where he is asked (paraphrasing because it's been a while) if god IS real, what will you say to him when you are at the pearly gates?

His response was along the lines of (speaking to God) how dare you. Children with cancer? Rape, starvation, babies with bone cancer? How dare you.

His words both comfort and haunt me.

There are a lot of replies and I don't have time to go through all of them, but if it hadn't been mentioned, check to make sure that doctor's office doesn't have a consent to share info with your mother. It may be on file and it will need rescinded to make a valid HIPAA complaint. If they do have that, they likely won't be in violation territory, but anything after rescinding would be.
