The "this is the last time my hair will be short approach", as suggested in another comment is exactly how looked at it when I went from long hair to pixie. That then made me brave, so I shaved my head, lol. THAT I will NEVER do again, even tho I had a ton more fun shaved than I did with the pixie, lol. (Im not a DR, consult your Dr before doing what I did) when I was ready to grow out from a shaved head, I took prenatal gummys for like 6months. My hair is long again and I plan to keep it long. Have fun with your short hair, its beautiful, and should be just as loved.

I think I would've done the same thing. On the chance that its a habit, this will help break it. If its more than just a habit you'll know when her hair grows back in. Allow yourself to feel sad for the moment. Understand that in most cultures, long locks of hair is part of the beauty standard. Dont feel guilty.

I do it and you should too!! There's a food drive in my neighborhood about twice a month. I go when my schedule allows, and my neighbors do the same. Always they give us one ingredient in abundance. One time I got like four dozen onions. I walked around the neighborhood to share with my neighbors. One neighbor was given like 8 bags of gala apples. She shared a bag with me and the other neighbors. When I know im going, I wait on grocery/meal planning. Some months I use that money saved to make a bigger payment on a card/loan. Other months, its used to cover a different bill. On a good month, those few dollars get deposited into the emergency savings account. The organization get their funding according to how much they use. So even when I dont need those groceries, I still go by and get what theyre giving, in hopes that my portion counts for future funding. Other in my neighborhood might not be in a comfy place as I find myself in. Dont feel guilty, go!

Same!! We were 38 when we had ours. A complete and welcomed surprise. In our circle of friends, we have the baby. Most of them are all just now becoming empty nesters or becoming grandparents.

The best sandwich place, imo, just closed. Still feels recent but its probably been a handful of yrs now. The owner retired and couldnt find someone to take the place over. I have an employee like this. I constantly have to remind her that we are not all as fortunate enough as her. If she sounds like shes bragging, I tell her she doesnt need to brag, we're all already friends. She cant impress us. I dont mind bringing her down a notch but im going to be kind about it.
