1) While I agree this would have been a good way to finish his arc, I think the Resistance would actually lose a big advantage if they lost an ex-Stormtrooper with knowledge of First Order tech. And I think Finn's arc should have ended with him leading a Stormtrooper army against the First Order, but that's just me, I guess.
2) When Finn is flying towards the laser, we see pieces of the... Salt-speeder?... getting shredded. I think that suggested that the laser was blowing air in front of it that pushed anything that went against it. That probably made the speeder move slower compared with Rose's speeder, which was moving outside the beam. As for the Order just killing them, I think they just saw them moving towards the bunker anyway, so they thought they could just kill them when they go kill everyone.
3) I do think they could have executed this line much better. I do think what Rose was saying can be true. It's just that, besides what OP already said, there was no romance between these characters. And even then, she could have said that she can't lose even her friends when she just lost her sister.
Now, I want to say this: besides what I already mentioned at point 2), those speeders looked so flimsy that I didn't think they would cause much damage to the fan. In fact, I think the fan would have just shredded it. For me, Finn was doing a Hail Mary here.

Ok, that will be crazy for most people, but Dolores is not a baby. That's a fully grown Aquilops.
Now, to be honest, they TRIED to give her a narrative reason to be here. The little girl, Bella, hated dinos and was traumatized after getting stranded, and she started to warm up to dinos after Dolores came into the picture. But this arc felt like a checkbox and didn't end up being interesting.

I really do like BB-8. Not only is his design cool, but it also feels like a natural evolution of astromech droids. Which is rare in Star Wars, since the technology always looks about the same throughout the entire lore.
My problem is that... his personality seems to be similar to R2's. Not only that, it feels like he kinda replaced R2 for most of the Sequel Trilogy. I just wish he joined Threepio and Artoo rather than being just him for the most part.

Yeah, I thought that too. Even if Grogu became a marketable plushie, I think people were the ones who asked for more Grogu, so at least when you see the shelves filled with Grogu mugs, you can't say we didn't ask for it. What I am saying is that his integration was at least felt more organic than other cute mascots.

I do like this design. It feels like a combination of childhood fears like spiders, needles, and clowns (although he is more jester-coded). I also find its cyborg-esque parts interesting, like those muscles and tendons moving the metal legs.
My problem is... it doesn't look like any of the hints we've got for the character prior to Chapter 5. The shrine and Mommy Long Legs' fear of "becoming part of it". He doesn't look like an amalgamation. The thing is, the parts that ARE from other characters make the design look worse. Also... the design is cool overall, but there was no point in keeping it secret for a grand reveal.

Yeah. She wrote the series as a critique of how media is desensitising the masses to really bad stuff by comercializing it. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes also revealed that the games could have died after the 10th edition since people didn’t wanted to watch the blood bath until Snow introduced gambling into it, and turned a tribute into a spectacle.

Honestly, I don’t think the similarity with the story ends there. The biggest plot twist of the series was that the entire islands complex was actually a huge robot and the entire story was a cybernetic equivalen of an imune system being help by pills to fight against viruses. I think even some magical incantation was revealed to be just programming.

Eastern European here!
The very brutalist architecture and decrepit surroundings of the game really remind me of the areas I grew up in. City 17 really feels like an early 2000s neighbourhood for me.
Werewolf_Knight
Isn't he too short for a Stormtrooper?

I just wanted to add this: the game can be very unforgiving at times. Like, if you make too much noise, you get killed. No questions asked. Like, you can't even run away. I think a better approach would have been this (for most segments):
-In normal walking areas, if you make too much sound, a creature will spawn, and you have a short amount of time to move from the position you've made a sound. Then the creature appears, and for a few seconds you will have to avoid the creature. If you alert it again, you're dead. If you avoid it, the creatures leave, and you can continue; another idea is that, once the song starts, you will have 5 seconds to determine from which direction the creature will come and try to avoid it;
-In areas with roaming creatures, once the music starts, you will have to slowly walk away from the location where you've made the sound. If you try to run or walk normally, the creature will still follow you regardless of whether you are making too much sound or not. That way, you will be forced to be more careful to keep a fair distance between you and the creature. Also, I think the creature should run more. I only noticed it running when you throw bricks and bottles.
Also, during the echolocation moments, instead of just stopping moving, the game should trigger a quick-time event that you will have to do perfectly, or else you will get killed.

Yeah, I can understand that. As a horror game, it isn't very scary. I do have moments when I feel tense, and some of the occasional jump scares have got me. But overall, it isn't that scary. Sure, whenever the monster is next to you and walks towards you slowly, I get a bit anxious, but I wasn't afraid to play it. To be fair, the movies aren't THAT horror either, IMO.

With all its flaws, I do think the game is actually good enough for its base price and for the fact that it is a movie tie-in game.
I've recently played the game again, but I unfortunately couldn't finish it in time for this post. I was also playing it at a gaming pub, so I couldn't test the mic detection feature.
Anyway, I think the gameplay is competent enough, especially for a walking simulator. If you don't like heavy stealth games, I would not recommend this one at all. I like how you have to be extra careful of your surroundings, even with stuff that usually wouldn't cause problems in other video games, like knocking objects while walking. And I like when games give flashlights different purposes than just lighting your way. Now, I would admit, some of the mechanics are a bit clunky. On normal difficulty, you get 3 warnings before the creature will kill you, and the strategy for that is... stay still till the penalties reset. I do think the asthma mechanic is implemented well since it alerts you if the creature is in your proximity, and they made it so it might get you killed if you stay there for way too long. But I really don't think the asthma meter also needed to go up for the slightest effort the character does outside of the ones with the roaming creatures.
Now, I do like how the game keeps adding new mechanics from time to time, but I can see how some might find it frustrating that the game might keep a mechanic for a while, drop it, and reintroduce it again, like the sand sacks. But I really like how, when your normal flashlight broke, you had to use a new form of lighting that affects your asthma meter, and in the end you are rewarded with a much better flashlight, but that requires careful use (even if the torches are dropped after that). Now I do think the level design was clunky in places, but I found workarounds eventually. Also, I wanted to point out that there were moments when I got a sound registered, and I didn't get why, but they were rare instances for me.
The story is actually pretty ok IMO. I like how there's a theme about parenthood, and that the cutscenes try their best to tell how the MC feels by just showing their gestures. I just wish they explored the themes more. For example, I wish Alex was put in a situation where she could have understood Laura, so their last interaction could have felt more emotional. So the story is ok. It tries to be emotional, but it could have done much more. I personally think you will get more out of it if you read the journal entries and the notes you find around. Also, I like that they kept the tradition of making the MC the least likely character to survive in this apocalypse.
My biggest disappointment is that there are STILL AI-generated images in the game. Even after some people pointed it out. I want to give the devs the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe they made these images before people started to point out the issues with AI "art" while they were developing the game, but I am still disappointed that they are still in the game.

The Rise of Skywalker
I do like the idea of having what seems to be almost all of the ships that have ever appeared in Star Wars for the last fight in the Skywalker Saga. But the execution was very poor. I don't buy that Lando managed to make so many phone calls in the span of... a day?
But the biggest problem is that although we get to see the ships, I doubt most people were able to recognize any of them since most of the ships are in the background, including well-known ships. Also, none of the ships besides the ones we see in the movie get their time to shine. A good example is the Ghost, which you can see in the background, but you don't see it in an active battle. I know it would be impossible to give all of the ships screen time, but they could have at least done it for the most iconic ones.
All that this achieved was an admittedly awesome shot!

I really hope, whenever the next trilogy comes, LucasFilm and Disney will try to make it feel like an event. I remember when I was 14 and TFA was just around the corner and SW was everywhere (and I’ve heard it was even crazier when TPM released). I want to see commercials, adds, an absurd amount of merch, posters everywhere, collabs, promotional stunts and so on.
Werewolf_Knight
Yeah, I get that. I do think one of it’s bigger problems is that a lot of the stories are very interesting, but with only 20 minutes they can’t really show too much. My biggest problem is that many of these feel like just the begging of a story with the way they leave an open ending. Yes some of them got sequel episodes, but most will just be a one time thing so is it really worth getting invested in these if that’s the case? I still want them to continue the series since I can enjoy them like some art projects.
Also, I like anime style, including some art styles in Visions, but I really want them to explore more animation mediums like in season 2.

As someone who just started rewatching Adventure Time, I have to ask... why was there so much debate about whether or not the Land of Ooo takes place in a post-apocalyptic world? I mean, it was obvious that was the case. Like, there were a lot of ruined cities, cars all around, and the characters know human history, there are normal animals as well, the characters have objects that we use IRL in the present, and there are humans. Like... what other explanation was there for this?
Werewolf_Knight
Simply put, Inde Navarette got a role that let her show her absolutely insane acting range, while Chiwetel Ejiofor had a not-so-uncommon character to play. Now yes, Inde came up herself with a lot of the stuff that Nikki does in the movie, but a character that shows so many different emotions at the same time will always be more interesting to see. I do think Chiwetel did really well with what he was given, but even if he played his character in the greatest way possible, most people will forgot about the furniture seller who blames everyone but himself for his problems.
So, one did a really good job with a simple task, and the other did a fantastic job with a very hard task.
Werewolf_Knight
I think they refer to the "fairest" part. "Fair" in this context usually means pure, like white. But that's only how the quote is translated into English. Many languages, including the original text, simply use their word for "beautiful". For example, in Romania the quote goes like this: "Mirror, mirrory! Who is the most beautiful in this country?"

I know the Girlfriend is considered the worst TAWOG episode by far (torture episode + very concerning moral). But what is wrong with the Hero?
EDIT: Ok, I forgot that Nicole punished them by not giving them anything till they apologized, but the rest of the episode is a genuinely sweet reminder that, for how incompetent Richard can be, he still really cares about his children for the rest of the day.

Like the top comment already said, I think it would be hard to do it without going against the main themes and messages of the series. I think a Battle Royale-style game like Fortnite and PUBG, with microtransactions where you can customize your character, would very much be a middle finger to what the series stands for.
Now, does simply making a game be in poor taste? I don't think so. Based on the image of the original post, I think OP suggested a single-player game. This is my suggestion:
The game is linear, you can only fight with mutants, but whenever you stumble across a tribute, you enter stealth mode. The moment you are seen, you need to run and find a place to hide, or you die. I can see this as the only way you could do an HG game without glorifying murdering others.
