Aah check. I've tried CD for about 30 hours and then it just sort of let go of me. Found the controls cumbersome and the story lackluster. Havent ruled it out but with W3 Remastered now and the OOT Remake on the horizon, I've got a comfy autumn path ahead already 😃 I've seen that CD had some rewrites and other big updates these last months. Would you advise a second attempt, say at the start of 2027?

Haha, I understand where you're coming from. Am 39 myself and thought W3 was quite a lot to keep track of. Combined with the grand story and excellent writing, I found it quite the grandiose undertaking.

In what sense did you mean overwhelming then? Because if you would enjoy a lack of handholding; please consider the FromSoft catalogue and Elden Ring in particular.

Both at the same time would be overkill, I think. I would start with 5 (+all the DLC) as 6 introduces some mechanics that build on the basics of a Civ game. 5 also has a vibe that goes well with autumn/winter. For me at least.

"29" en "oude knar" horen echt niet samen in 1 zien lieverd, haha. Ik ben 10 jaar ouder en als ik iets dergelijks zeg wordt ik al scheef aangekeken. Je moet het, net als een 10 jaar oude game, in perspectief zien. De eerste echte games komen uit de jaren 70 en met een beetje geluk word jij ook wel 70.

Neon White is really fantastic gameplay (the story is whiny teenage anime slop but you can just skip that). Really worth the effort 👌

Yeah its the first thing I thought of when you mentioned story and low graphs. It's impressive and fun. Builds up slow and the 2 player option comes after 10 minutes or smth, of 1 player intro playing. Have fun!

Yes, really. I'm a FromSoft mainliner so combat was clunky for me too, at the start. But that will be the case for most action games after you've enjoyed a lot of Sekiro, f.e.

This game asks a different approach but once it lands it's a masterpiece.

The Witcher 3 Remastered. I'm doing a fresh run after last time i could not get fully into it as well (quit after like 10 hours). Now I'm fully invested. What a story and what a world! 😍 Make sure to make it at least past The Bloody Baron mission. Won't spoil anything, just that that was the point I saw how well written this game is.
