In my kids soccer league, a parent can get a red card if they’re verbally abusing the ref or go onto the field without permission. They have to leave the game and pay a $250 fine to the league before their kid can play again. It’s rare it gets that far but I have seen it happen a couple times.

While he only played Baseball professionally, Dave Winfield was drafted by teams in the MLB, NFL, NBA, and ABA. He never even played football but the Minnesota Vikings just saw his athleticism and decided they could turn him into a football player.

Even if the prosecutors wanted to charge him, they know there is 0 chance you can find a jury where you could get a guilty verdict out of all of them. The best they would ever get is a hung jury.

When you tell the Oregon Highway Division that there’s something really large and really heavy that needs to be removed from the area ASAP, there’s really only 1 answer you’re going to get. These people regularly blow up paths through mountains to be able to build a road there. How hard could it be to disintegrate a whale?

Unfortunately a 100% of people who have posted on Reddit die eventually too. I’ll see you in Hell.

If he collided with or was blocking the keepers path you may have an argument but that didn’t happen. If you completely remove Balogun from the play, would it have changed anything? Almost certainly no, the keeper and Freeman would have gotten to the ball at the same time they originally did.

In the US, it’s rare to be put fully under for dental work but there are scenarios where it is used. It’s not uncommon to be put into “twilight” for invasive procedures or for people who have an extreme fear of dental work. Twilight is not the same thing as being fully put under. When put in twilight you are sedated and given pain killers but are usually still conscious and can respond to basic commands. One of the medications they give you disables your brains ability to record memories which is why you remember nothing about the procedure. Only licensed/certified anesthesiologists can put you fully under but a dentist can be trained and certified to do twilight sedation.

The vast majority of people with Tourette’s syndrome don’t have the compulsion to yell inappropriate things. It’s a symptom called coprolalia and isn’t even unique to Tourette’s. Unfortunately the media didn’t do a good job of highlighting that just because you have Tourette’s doesn’t mean you will uncontrollably say things. It is true the people that have coprolalia will often say very inappropriate things at the worst of times. The more they try to fight it the greater the physical and mental discomfort gets until they can’t hold it back.

It’s so stupid to cut these kind of things. It’s such a small portion of the US budget and provides so many discoveries both technological and about how our universe works. So many examples of NASA developing a technology to do their experiments and it eventually finds its way into our everyday lives in some shape or form down the line.

I also tore my ACL but was about 20 years younger than you when it happened. After the surgery I only did the minimum amount of physical therapy recommended and that was a mistake. I figured I was young and would heal up the rest of the way by just being active. I was wrong. I never fully regained all my mobility or strength back and over exerting it would cause pain for days. Even to this day if I need to keep my knee bent for a few hours (like on a plane) it starts hurting.

My advice is do all the physical therapy you can for as long as you can. In the beginning it’s going to hurt like a mother fucker but you need to push through and work it as hard as the physical therapists says is safe.

By any chance was the humidity on the low side inside of the submarine? A wound that is constantly dry will take way longer to heal. There’s been a lot of studies that show “wet healing” is way better than letting a scab form in open air or using gauze/bandages to keep it covered. You use a hydrogel/hydrocollodial bandage that prevents moisture loss and it doesn’t wick away all the juices your body releases. The wounds heal up to 50% faster, less pain, little to no itchiness, less scaring and lower infection rates.

They have military contracts and will probably try to market this to show how they can create a militarized version to allow less soldiers to do more work.

That’s a pretty hard position for them to defend when Pakistan shot down a bunch of their fighters with J10’s. Israel and the US haven’t lost a single F-35 to SAM’s or fighters. The only chance India’s fighters could take out an F-35 is in a dog fight and if it ever came down to a dog fight, the F-35 pilot made countless errors before it got to that point.

I think what they’re more so trying to say is when you don’t need to solely rely on outside money, you can take risks with your content programming. If you look at TV stations like Discovery and the History Channel, they rarely make actual documentaries these days. It’s largely reality TV mixed with an element dramatized nature or conspiracy theories. They went that way because it was much more profitable than making documentary style content. They don’t want to risk spending millions for a multi year documentary project that may be a financial loss if enough people don’t watch it. The BBC and PBS don’t need to worry how many advertisers they have or people willing to watch when they choose the topics they want to cover.

I have read and agree to the rules.

The MAR (Minimum Abort Range) for a fighter jet is much much shorter than the max range of the missile. To give an example, with the AIM-120C, it has a max range of 50nmi but if you’re low and slow, you want to be within 10-12 nmi to have a high probability of kill. If you’re high and fast, you might be able to hit another fighter jet at 20-30nmi.

Essentially if you’re inside the MAR, your best option is to try and out maneuver and use counter measures to avoid the missile, if your outside of it then you can just turn and outrun the missile. Every 1st world military has accurate or close estimates as to where the MAR is for potential missiles. Could be these guys weren’t expecting a PL-15 and thought it was a shorter range missile.

I had a manager who accidentally used the word cunt instead of can't while talking about one of my co-workers.

I was at a sports tournament and one of my teammates brought his cousin who was very attractive but just automatically figured I didn’t have a shot. She was always hanging around the same areas, asking where I’ll be after the tournament and even asked if she can ride back to the hotel with me… none of it clued me in that she was interested. On the last day right before we were leaving, my teammates sister came up to me and asked if I had any interest in her cousin and I was like yeah! She called me a fucking idiot and gave me a piece of paper with her cousins number on it.

I think you need to do some more research because that’s not how it works. mRNA is used to deliver the instructions of how to make a protein that looks very similar to the protein that’s on the outside of a SARS-CoV-2 virus but it is not an exact copy. SARS-CoV-2 uses its spike protein to gain access to cells to inject its genetic data to get the cell to make more viruses.

Once the cell receives the mRNA it will start producing this protein and it will get released into the body. The protein that gets created has no ability to replicate, it contains no RNA or DNA, it’s just a protein that’s will float around your body like many other types of proteins do. The hope is your immune system will see this protein and learn how to identify it and make antibodies to neutralize it if it sees it again. If everything goes correct, when your body sees a real SARS-CoV-2 virus, it can quickly identify it by the proteins on the outside that look similar to the ones that were created by the vaccine. Once identified it can quickly ramp up antibody production and either prevent the virus from taking hold or shortening the time it takes to the body to respond.

With a lot of vaccines we usually take a very weakened, less infectious or dead copy of the pathogen and inject that into people so their immune system can learn and go through the same learning and antibody process. The main difference is mRNA uses an infinitesimal amount of cells to create the inanimate proteins we want the immune system to learn instead of giving it the whole virus to learn from. It’s quicker to create mRNA rather than going through the process of attenuating an entire virus and scaling that process up to make millions of doses. At the time mRNA was the quickest way to get a potential vaccine out.

If the military is going to allow them to join or be drafted at 18, they should have a say in how the government is run. If you want to bump the minimum age to 21 for military service, I would have no problem with the minimum voting age being increased to 21.

Win_Sys

Not the person who you responded to but tuition costs will go down when there’s legislation in place to do so or people stop going to college. When I was in high school the teachers and guidance counselors were saying it doesn’t matter how much college is, take out a loan and you’ll be able to pay it back with the increased earnings you’ll make due to the degree. That turned out to be a load of shit peddled by college marketing departments, had a bunch of friends who took out $80k plus in loans but were only making a little more than people who didn’t go to college. They couldn’t move out of their parents house until their later 20’s because they either couldn’t get approved for a decent apartment or they just didn’t make enough with the loan payments. I was just lucky I decided college wasn’t for me, still struggled to move out of my parents house in my early 20’s but was glad I didn’t have that crushing debt.

The fuck you wasn’t really about the jeans, he’s already won it before and was the current champion. The fuck you was for FIDE threatening to bar some players from FIDE events if they played in the Freestyle Chess events.

If they actually hit the kicker on purpose, it’s a loss of 15 yards, a first down and the player can be removed from the game. What you’re talking about is if they accidentally make any contact with the kicker.
