Liking the vibe, not so sure about the aerodynamics of the Gina sign being mounted crosswise!

Overhead fluorescent lighting is the worst. Whenever my officemate is out, I kill the fluorescents and work in whatever natural light happens to be available through the window. The stress reduction is palpable.

Yeah, I can identify with that. My gen2 Leaf kinda feels like it was designed just for me. I've driven a handful of other electrics and there's always something that takes them out of my sweet spot.

Cheers, friend.

I read "caps" at first, and seeing the first couple of pictures was really confused about how they were supposed to wear them.

Guess I should elaborate a bit. I'm 65M and have only recently come to understand that (a) HSPs are a thing and (b) if they had a poster, I could have been the child on it.
Although I've spent a lot of my life in dissociative states, it wasn't a strategy I ever chose, and it's not something I recommend per se, it's just what I couldn't help doing at the time. It's the "freeze" part of "fight, flight or freeze" that comes naturally to a lot of HSPs. My wife used to ask, where do you go when you're upset? You're gone, but I don't know where, And the problem was, I didn't know where I went either. More like I just kinda stopped existing for minutes or hours at a time until the various overloads had a chance to reset.
If I'd known earlier in life what I know now, could things have been much different? It's hard to say.

From the Tom days, I nominate The Creeper, and from the John days I'll throw in The Miniature Murders.

It's a manufacturing defect in the battery; DC fast charging isn't the cause, but it is what usually exposes the defect and makes it more dangerous.
I half expect my Leaf to brick itself any month now, although it passed the initial tests when the recall was performed. Not much to do about the situation except enjoy the ride while I can, I guess.

I too bought a cheap ELM327 dongle hoping to use it use with LeafSpy and couldn't get it to do anything. Although ELM327 is mentioned on the compatibility list for LeafSpy, I've since learned that most of the so-called ELM327 hardware you can buy online is essentially counterfeit and doesn't implement the complete OBD2 command set.
Afterward I spent about $50 on a LeLink2 device, and that works great.

I wonder how much reserve it actually still had.

I'd love to drive mine as long as I can, but it's among those vulnerable to the battery recall buyback, so the decision might get taken out of my hands.

Happy to hear it, but I wouldn't know about that part. Are you talking about aftermarket kits?

The possible dehydration factor can't be overemphasized. It's enough to be the sole trigger for a serious episode. Two examples from my experience --
First -- I had an emergency room visit a couple of years ago because of an a-fib episode that wouldn't go away. When I got there they had a hard time inserting the IV, which was the first clue that I was dehydrated. (I'd been in grief and mourning because of an unrelated event, and had lost my appetite and kinda stopped taking care of myself for a while, including not hydrating.) After a couple of hours of the saline drip I popped back into sinus rhythm.
Second -- my older brother once had an a-fib attack and had the exact experience in the emergency room as I did, described above. They told him to stay hydrated and this might never happen again. And it's true, he hasn't had another episode. It was his first and last a-fib experience, so far.
Hopefully you are more like my brother than like me; it would be great if this was a one-off experience for you.
Edited to add - I have never experienced atrial flutter, thank goodness. But I have experienced both a-fib and SVT multiple times, and the two sensations are quite distinct. For me, SVT is an intense pounding with a very identifiable pulse, usually somewhere between 150 and 180; whereas with a-fib I can't figure out a pulse at all, there's just randomness, and in my chest it's as if there is a fish flopping around aimlessly. Also with a-fib I sometimes get brain fog (not always, and not everyone experiences this part), whereas my head stays clear during SVT.

While you'll hear a lot of negativity about the car, you can consider that as an indirect blessing: because the more people talk it down, the more affordable they get, which means you can probably get a very good price for a car that's great for you -- but only if you fit the profile appropriate to the car's abilities and limitations. Even those occasional 180 mile round trips could be an issue, depending on what charging facilities are available on the other end.
I am still smitten with my '21, even though it's one of those at higher risk for battery failure; I guess I'm just living with that risk as long as the car will let me.

Yay, the compact EV club! Hope you're enjoying yours; I'm excessively attached to mine. Just about everything is an SUV now, which is not my particular cup o' tea.

Thanks for the list. I keep being surprised at CHAdeMO still being around, since I almost never see anyone else using them. But almost everywhere I go, there's one nearby that works, at least for now.
A few weeks ago I stopped for juice at an unfamiliar place, had my trusty ccs1/chaddy converter ready to go as usual, but found that the only working plug was the CHAdeMO on the far end. I might have been the only person who got a charge there that day. (According to Plugshare everything on that site is working again now.)

Me too. The 4th and 15th seem to represent as bookends for his journey as a composer. It's like, for the conclusion of the 15th, he revisited the conclusion of the 4th but from a place of maturity, contentment and satisfaction. Or maybe just that's just my projection.

Neither you, nor he, nor your child deserve such a cruel blow from nature.
My wife's younger brother passed away in an eerily similar way, a fall in the shower caused by what turned out to be a case of spinal meningitis. There was no other warning; he had been healthy and happy and in his prime, until he was just suddenly on life support, and then gone. So I know it's conventional to say "I can't even imagine" but the situation was close enough that I kinda can.
His daughter, who had been a toddler at the time, has blossomed into a well-adjusted and empathetic soul. We were at her wedding last summer.
I dropped a small contribution into your gofundme and am wishing you comfort and support from all around you.

TIL, actually. Thanks.
As far as I can tell, A2Z's NACS/CHAdeMO device can't be purchased yet. It's "Coming Soon."
For CCS/CHAdeMO, I am having good results with a Longood unit purchased through autonlaturit. I have no basis for comparison with the A2Z.
