We did this our entire last trip, bought one for each member and then my kids switched bands. My youngest wasn’t ready for Guardians or Tron so my oldest just got to ride them multiple times each day.

The only reason my husband was able to make it through pre-med and medical school was me working two jobs to support us the whole time. Without that I have no idea how anyone from a low income family could really make it through. Like we were living on the poverty line while racking up hundreds of thousands in tuition debt. Which we still owe on almost a decade later…

I spent a month last spring ripping out decade old ornamental grass along my driveway. This was one of the most labor intensive things I’ve personally done, those roots were DEEP and completely wrapped around my irrigation hoses. But once I got that out and was able to plant what I wanted along there it was all worth it. By the end of summer I had thriving rose bushes, lilies in every color, giant dahlias, and a bunch of smaller brightly colored flowers for butterflies and hummingbirds. It was so rewarding.
I’m excited to see how the irises and peonies come up this year, those I got in too late to enjoy.

It’s also a great way to learn to fail. My 7 year old will sit there forever trying to figure out how to get past something, fail 20 times, and get it on the 21st. Such an important skill for kids to have

I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW ABOUT THIS! May I please visit?

Nope! I got some for my husband for Christmas, a few sweaters and pants. I like Naadam, they use recycled cashmere so the price is lower. The cafe cotton line is the cotton/cashmere blend. Super soft but thick and warm.

If I see him again this spring I’ll pester him a bit about calendars and such :)

If you do this tomorrow as well, I’d love to come! I’m in late enough I don’t think I’ll make it for tonight, but you have an amazing list!
I have a bunch of what you’re looking for as well, I’d be happy to bring them by!

I don’t know the source of this, it was found on Instagram and made me think of this community.

I had sleep paralysis when I was younger, I would have these incredibly vivid and terrifying dreams. 30 years later I still remember some very clearly, the feel of them, the smells, everything. I had several instances of being awake while still dreaming and being convinced that what was happening was real.
I taught myself how to lucid dream (without even knowing it was a thing) in order to deal with them. My main goal was to just be able to wake myself up fully without the paralysis kicking in. I remember having to wake myself up through layers of dreams, and getting better at recognizing I was still dreaming after “waking up”. Eventually I was able to completely control my dreams and the nightmares stopped.
