I have the an o3ds and PS Vita 2000. I daily drive one them to play on my lunch break M-F. I don't use a fancy case or travel sleeve. The left pocket on scrub pants does the trick for me. Neither will fall out. Mileage may very, I am typically not clumsy when at work.

Ps vitas are generally easy to work on with enough patience and a decent guide to follow. Look up TronicsFix on YouTube. He fixes consoles to resell.
