I’ve never changed the speed and I won’t because I’m afraid I won’t be able to stop once I start.

XxX_Ghost_Xx

No worries. It’s just a common mistake but TST is very different.

XxX_Ghost_Xx

“People are saying” isn’t evidence or even anecdotal. TST’s concern is for people who are caught up in restrictive religious law.

CoS can claim no part of this and should vehemently oppose anyone trying to let CoS claim any credit for this important step.

Again CoS is irrelevant to this action and any other associated with TST.

Edit: Perhaps you’re hysterics should be directed at organizations like the Catholic Church that have consistent and disturbing tradition of abusing children? I believe these are much more of a threat than TST protecting a woman’s right to choose.

XxX_Ghost_Xx

Preach. It’s the oldest story in the book to blame moms for everything.

Also, moms were told bottle feeding is better for their babies (Nestle) and knocked out cold for childbirth just 50 years ago. Women have been getting gaslight about their bodies for centuries so yeah, some don’t trust scientists and doctors. I’m not one of them but it comes from somewhere.

XxX_Ghost_Xx

TST is a tax exempt (but still tax paying) religious organizations. This matters when it comes to US law.

XxX_Ghost_Xx

I’m also not a spokesperson but a sincere member.

You can celebrate or use the holidays as you see most appropriate.

XxX_Ghost_Xx

The fact that this happened shows why it is.

The US Constitution is what allows TST to protect these rights. Don’t let that get lost. The US is and always has been built in freedom from religious oppression.

XxX_Ghost_Xx

Non-theistic.

XxX_Ghost_Xx

You’re initial “fact” is anything but. I will not argue this as it’s a waste of time.

However, the ritual is what you wish it to be. You finding it trivial does not make it so.

XxX_Ghost_Xx

Non-theist is a better term.

XxX_Ghost_Xx

You don’t have to choose friend! We welcome anyone who identifies with our Seven FUNDAMENTAL TENETS

XxX_Ghost_Xx

It’s not confusing at all. Catholics are different from Baptist’s. Most of us understand this.

TST and CoS do not have the same beliefs and practices either. We are not affiliated in any way.

XxX_Ghost_Xx

The site is a good place to start.

TST

XxX_Ghost_Xx

They are two different organizations. Do you need help with the chart?

XxX_Ghost_Xx

This is an incorrect interpretation posted by an anonymous person in a Reddit thread. Please research for yourself before also making incorrect assertions.

XxX_Ghost_Xx

TST is interested in exercising our rights rather than having rituals about them.

XxX_Ghost_Xx

I have to disagree. Being established as a tax exempt religious organization (that still pays its taxes btw) is the exact thing that gives us the ability to challenge Conservative Christian Fundamentalism crafting US law.

It’s not simply a vain attempt at appealing to potential members who may be more excited by displaying naked women. Legitimacy is the very thing that allows us to have a real world impact on harmful and dangerous laws.

I believe the FIRST thing on that graphic is the years founded. You consider that “downplaying?”

At no point do I feel the need to challenge or “compete” with CoS. They are simply different organizations and TST is very transparent about its tenets, mission, and purpose and founding. I am incredibly proud of TST and CoS has little to nothing to do with my my faith.

XxX_Ghost_Xx

It’s very simple to find out about TST and it’s tenets if anyone has a genuine desire to do so. SEVEN FUNDAMENTAL TENETS

No need for Reddit debate.

XxX_Ghost_Xx

The great thing about TST is we don’t recruit so you’re absolutely free to be a pastafarian and support some of the ideas and actions of TST.

XxX_Ghost_Xx

The Satanic Temple.

The Church of Satan is a different organization.

XxX_Ghost_Xx

Cbus!

XxX_Ghost_Xx

As a TST member I’m not at all concerned with other organizations. I am not invalidated or validated by their actions.

TST has a very public and specific set of tenets we wholeheartedly believe and every member should do their best to live by. TST is visible because we are winning where it matters. We can preach dominion over ones body but it does not protect us from the laws made against our beliefs. TST prefers tangible action. What other organizations decide to do with their faith is not our concern.

XxX_Ghost_Xx

You’re completely missing WHY it needs to be referred to in that manner. Abortion is protected because it is a religious practice associated with our faith. If that’s separated than there is no protection. TST has a great Q&A that will answer this very clearly. The Announcement: A Ritual

XxX_Ghost_Xx

I have to agree and I wish I didn’t see this. It’s not a decision most women celebrate and it’s certainly not a party. This is really tone deaf.

XxX_Ghost_Xx

That’s a pretty awful thought. I have a functioning uterus and am happy to never need to make that decision. I’m sure this will be challenged and TST will follow through.
