So compared to non-nordic countries, a lot of the tax spending doesnt just disappear into thin air or deep holes, but things circle around, which lowers the perceived costs of things a lot. While free education helps private companies get productive workers and so on.

Its this symbiotic relationship that defines the nordic welfare states, and makes our politics economically bland, as its all about keeping the balance between private and public to not run massive deficits or any big risk projects
