I get where you're coming from, but I also don't know if pretending not to have seen it is any better from a trust perspective. Like, obviously if you were rooting around her car for dirty secrets then that's fucked up, but if you were cleaning the car anyways as a favor she knew about or if it was a shared family car you were cleaning out or something then pretending you didn't see it is its own kind of dishonesty.

That being said, I think it's also worth acknowledging that the most obvious explanation isn't necessarily the accurate one and that all you know for certain is that somehow an empty condom wrapper became a relevant bit of detritus. If she's not comfortable talking about it then trying to force a conversation about her personal activities is going to be inherently aggressive. If she doesn't want to volunteer any additional information about how it got there then don't force the issue, but I wouldn't avoid being honest about why you're talking about this now.

I know when I was in high school and LoL/HoN/Dota2 were still establishing themselves my buddy insisted on AoS as the genre name out of reverence for the "original" so like idk.

Gonna be honest: I had assumed that I had acquired these as some kind of marble run accessory because oh boy do they make good marble run noises. But now I'm not so sure.

You've gotta respect his dedication to the character.

Sometimes it's the view, but sometimes it's all about the company.

Not pictured: this fella flopping himself over like this on my way up the driveway then following me back to the van to try and get even more pets. At that point I just had to take lunch there.

Being the only parent in costume at a kids Halloween party is a very Bandit thing to do, to be fair.

I mean you made me reread it a couple times to be safe so I didn't embarrass myself because I also can't read. Between the lot of us we can figure this out.

...I don't think I remember that encounter. I just remember my first foray into playing a character of not my gender happening because I read you could make yourself queen by bedding and then sacrificing Alistair.

It's worth being skeptical of those reports, though. Most of them are put together by gun rights groups rather than independent researchers and include things like "I heard a noise outside, grabbed my gun, and didn't see anything when I investigated." Like, you just as likely scared away a stray cat or your own paranoia while happening to carry a gun, but it still makes the list. It's the pro-gun equivalent of anti-gun people focusing on mass shootings specifically - statistically the most common gun death is either a suicide or an accidental discharge, not a mass casualty event or self-defense. It just so happens that the kind of policies that could reduce those would also probably make it harder for mass shooters to get their hands on even more dangerous weapons.

He doesn't mean it critically. He's saying "yeah maybe we are a doomsday cult but maybe that's actually a good thing"

IW really was a one-talent outfit and everyone else was just kind of doing a less competent version of Alex. Now on his own, Harrison feels like he's trying to do more of a collegiate or intellectual style rather than Alex's cowboy resistance bit. Of course the problem is that he's dumber than a sack of hammers and doesn't even know how to pretend to credibility and research chops.

I also hear people bring up the real US military zombie plan, with the context being stripped away. Yes it's a real document, but it was created as an exercise for junior officers to practice the planning process itself, both in the sense of turning a theoretical description of a situation into an operational strategy and in the sense of interacting with the systems and production pipelines they have for creating and documenting this stuff. Planning for the spontaneous end of civilization is a fun thought exercise and writing prompt. Actually preparing for that environment is actively undermining your ability to handle more realistic problems.

All my experience is in From The Depths, but I'm pretty sure making the skirt independently rotate from the chassis would increase the chance of subsequent hits landing on a new patch of armor, increasing resistance to penetration.

I was gonna say it looks like Zuko's ship from Avatar S1.

Re 1: based on the voice I think this might actually be filmed by the daughter he always finds an excuse not to take fishing.

Not a horse, but a deer (smaller and more prone to flight than fight relative to a horse) ate a bird, michael.

But consider: what if we replace the White Man's Burden with the Transhu-Man's Burden. Totally different, right?

The emphasis on "the matrix" tells me that this guy is on more of an Andrew tate wavelength than Tucker. I wonder if this was a failed attempt at audience conversion somewhere like when Alex hosted Nick Fuentes, only everyone involved is even dumber.

It's certainly a plan, except for the fraud and crimes and stuff.

Please note that in addition to the aforementioned reforms (which were enforced through summary execution) the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom also enforced rigid gender segregation and children were taken from their parents to be raised by the church/state en mass. Please do not consider throwing in with whoever has the greatest combination of trauma-induced hallucinations and charisma as a viable path to reform.

Not if his stocks of explosives had anything to sa6 about it.

This is both the only rational explanation I've seen for this policy and also is so incredibly petty. Like finding out that the Cosa Nostra were behind smashing the gumball machine in the grocery store and stealing all the quarters - I don't think he's too good to have done it, but surely the rewards can't be worth the effort at that level.

Not with that attitude it doesn't.
