Everyone who reads my writing, even emails and corporate self reviews tells me that my writing obviously sounds human, and like me. All the longest term and most talented humans I know in tech are more excited about development than they’ve ever felt. I echo this and I don’t understand this side of the doomerism. There are more possibilities than ever. There are so many fun and idealistic, unprofitable and hard to build projects that would have never been built before that are now being built. The best time to build things and to write in the past 50 years, easily.

I've been yelled at for biking on the sidewalk twice since moving here 6 months ago by a driver who was not effected by this behavior, they were just going down the road I was on. It's legal to bike on the sidewalk in Oregon. The only place in Bend where it's illegal to ride a bike on the sidewalk is downtown.

I've also been "revved at" loudly by mustangs with massive exhaust to scare me on the sidewalk twice. Neither of these things ever happened to me in Colorado or Louisiana.

I've never owned a car and am a huge transit user in other places(Denver, Boulder, New Orleans), but the sparse schedules and lack of evening rides makes Bends bus service almost useless for me. I want to use it.

American is the right burger cheese, especially for thin patties. I like cheddar but for a thicker burger. Just a diff style.
