Just used my 2511 yesterday . LOVE that little saw!

This is NORMAL. I’ve had 4 RC surgeries and have had that aching in the back each time. My PT used acupressure and it helped a lot. Another PT used a percussion massager (lightly) and it also helped. As you get stronger and your back/supportjng muscles rebuild, this pain will go away.

6 days. And I’ve done it multiple times as I’ve had multiple shoulder surgeries. Zero issues. I’m very careful and - fortunately - our car can do many functions via voice command (radio, heat, A/C, etc) but the biggest aid is having a strong core/abs so you can steer one handed more easily.

It was installed when we built our house, by our HVAC contractor. We never had any discussions about how long it should run, or about shutting it down. We did talk about annual oil changes, filters and spark plugs - but that was it. The Technician who came to our house after we moved in solely focused on our Trane thermostat. I would tell you that NO ONE that we've talked to in our area was aware that these generators couldn't run continuously. The Condo Association behind our house has over 100 of these Generac units and many of them failed (power was out for 16 days). In fairness, I don't think anyone at our HVAC company envisioned a power outage of this duration.

Several Generac’s failed after running for a week near us in Asheville after Hurricane Helene. Ours shut down after 7 days due to low oil. That’s when I learned they needed to be shut down, cooled off and oil checked daily.

For sure. I've found the keys to recovery are to continue to do your PT exercises, even after your Dr. tells you that you can stop PT. All you need is some light weights and resistance bands. In PT, they'll have you use a rope/pulley to regain range of motion. I made one for home and it hangs from my basement ceiling joists. I have found that tool to be very effective in regaining ROM.
And... don't do stupid stuff (like I did)!

This is fine. We did the same in our Western North Carolina home, but we used rockwool insulation, and acoustical sealant that doesn’t dry like caulk does. No drafts, very quiet house and no spiders or other bugs. It does give you sore fingertips!

Yes. I spent 6 hours yesterday slamming in T Posts as I repair our barbed wire fence line that trees fell on, also digging out tree stumps and hauling them down the slope. Probably not as fast as I worked before my shoulder surgeries, but I got it done! Some pain afterwards as I worked my shoulder in a different way than it has been worked in a long time - but nothing an Aleve didn’t take care of.

I’ve had 3 surgeries on my dominant arm, and no longer have a supraspinatus. It is taking longer for me to get back to normal than it did for the previous two surgeries, but I’m making steady progress. At 9 months post-op I am doing pushups, curls, resistance bands, running and biking and lots of chores on our two acres. Plus still doing PT at home daily. I haven’t tried pull-ups yet, but am planning on that shortly. I have full ROM but don’t have the strength I used to have. I’m 70 so perhaps that’s part of the slower recovery.

I only took ibuprofen for 4 days. Dr said I could quit as soon as I was comfortable with my pain level.
Zerbit-Spucker
I had full range of motion. I don’t recall pain other than soreness from working 10 hour days chainsawing and hauling tree debris!

I’ve retorn mine twice. Do you have reduced ROM? That’s how I really knew I’d retorn mine.
My surgeon trusted my instincts enough to let me have an MRI. He did prescribe me with a Medrol Dose Pak first, to see if the steroids would “calm my shoulder down”.

I’m 70 and have had both RC’s repaired. I make my PT exercises part of my daily workout - which includes weightlifting and cardio. I plan on doing my PT exercises for the rest of my life.

Walking! I found it helped me stay in shape and am convinced that the elevated blood flow helped healing.

I’ve had both trigger finger and shoulder cortisone shots.
The finger cortisone shot was MUCH worse.
My Hand Dr told me it would be “memorable”, and she was right!

I’m 70. My parents are 97 and 96. Dad’s sharp as ever and walks their dog twice a day. Mom has slowed down. My 68 year old wife has one parent left - her 95 year old mother who still lives in the house they all grew up in (alone) - but gets lots of visits from children/grandchildren/greatgrandchildren.

7 weeks - as soon as my sling came off. You can walk and ride a stationary bike after a few days to help stave off loss of conditioning.

I also eliminated the PAIR valve, so I had no choice but to remove the tank.
I did take the airbox OFF before pulling the tank. I loosened the band clamp by grabbing the threaded end from the right side of the bike, and loosening it 1/4 turn at a time.
It would be very difficult to put the airbox back on without removing the tank - but maybe you have more dexterity than I do!

I just did this on my CRF 300 Rally the last two days. I labeled every fastener and arranged them on my workbench in the order I removed them (there are more than 50 bolts/push rivets/screws). I also took lots of photos and videos as I pulled the parts off.
The air box mods weren’t hard, just take your time. I let the RTV Silicone dry overnight before reinstalling.
The hardest part for me was removing and reinstalling the gas tank. Two hoses, two electrical connections and two 8mm bolts - all in a small space (I had a full tank of gas as well - which didn’t help).
One tip: just use a hair dryer to heat the end of your velocity stack when you reinstall your airbox. I did that and it easily slipped onto the throttle body.
I also found it easier to completely remove the battery during the process.

I just installed my 550 velocity stack/snorkel/airbox this am. I did not have to take off the throttle body. I just used a hair dryer to warm up the end of the velocity stack and it slipped right on.

My Dr let me run at week 8, one week after getting rid of my sling. I’ve had several RC surgeries, and the only time it hurt when I started running again was after I had a bicep tenodesis. I did walk 3 miles a day and ride my exercise bike daily for the 7 weeks I was in a sling.

Day 1. I got up every two hours, but I still slept a LOT better than I would have in a recliner.

I’ve bad 3 RC surgeries on my dominant arm in the last 3 years. Each one a year apart. The first was repairing 45 years of wear and tear. I fully recovered and had full ROM. The second was after falling out of a tree chainsawing fallen trees from Hurricane Helene. I fully recovered and had full ROM. The most recent was after slipping on hardwood stairs wearing slippery socks (we now have a carpet runner). My subscapularis and infraspinatus have been re-repaired. I had a bicep tenodesis with my 2nd surgery. My supraspinatus no longer exists and I had a superior capsular reconstruction earlier this year. Despite all this, my recovery has gone well. I have full ROM and can run, mountain bike, lift weights and do calisthenics at 6 months post surgery. I just met with my Surgeon today, and he gave me the go ahead to start chin-ups!
Now I’m trying not to do anything else stupid as he told me I’ll have to have a shoulder replacement if I injure my shoulder again. Good luck with your 2nd surgery - you can absolutely completely recover after it!
I had SCR in January. Third surgery on my right shoulder and my Supraspinatus had become irreparable, so I no longer have a supraspinatus in my dominant shoulder. The SCR used a cadaver patch to fabricate a cushion between my humerus and my shoulder socket. 9 months later and my shoulder is fine. I can do almost everything I did before surgery without pain; lifting weights, calisthenics, yard work, bike riding and running, etc. Recovery was longer than my previous RC surgeries by about 3 months. Glad I did it as my only other option was shoulder replacement. Happy to answer any questions you may have.
