Why does Google allow it? It's traffic, more data, more ads... maybe in-app purchases of which Google gets a cut...

In short: Google is profiting off of it.

They could remove fraudulent apps like those from the appstore, but there isn't that much incentive, because it'll take resources and Google values money more than the safety of their customers and quality of their products

"I'm thinking of starting a huge fight over it."

Y'all really don't see the joke there?

This is a case of "go get some references" - I struggled a lot with some bits of my artworks and once I grabbed a reference, it suddenly was so easy to make it work.

For this you can also just take a selfie with your phone and try different "intensities" of smiles and see how your face changes depending on what you do.

Feels like a more "polished" Tim Burton style, I like it. And to answer your question, yes, it is cohesive.

I didn't see anything throwing me off or feeling weird.

Just repost this on Thursday

Buddy, friend, bro... there's subtle but important distinction between Mondays and MAGA. Mondays aren't visciously racist, fascist, generally dehumanizing towards minorities, hateful and overall bad people. Monday is just the first day of the week

Oh, I know. I don't agree with "AI" use whatsoever, but I know it's already hard, if not outright impossible to avoid it at some step of the process. And by that metric I'm already "using AI", because I'm using Windows 11 to use my drawing program.

I don't have a consistent stance on it besides "AI bad" for numerous reasons. And I know I won't be able to avoid it, so I just gotta deal with it.

_Cecille

Imo "AI" has no place in any artistic endeavours. I suppose there are stages to my vitriol though, I'm more pissed with general gen-"AI", than a LLM trained on ethically sourced data, but I guess that's a tiny minority. I also have less vitriol for personal use "AI", but I think that's about it.

Along with what people already mentioned: The coat on the bottom right is super funky, it has an additional, random gold bit and does some funky right angles clothes just don't do.

Also a bunch of lines on her hair are coming out of nowhere

_Cecille

They can't? I don't know but I genuinely find that hard to believe.

Edit: I'm reading up on it and apparently they can't

_Cecille

You're making a very good point. I refuse to spend money on anything that is made by, or with "AI", but I doubt I even can go by that.

The only art program I'm using is Clip Studio Paint EX to draw my characters but there's no way for me to know whether or not it's vibe-coded... But there's no way I'm ditching that hobby. Fuck me, Clip Studio Paint runs on Windows 11 and Windows 11 most definitely is AI written to some degree. So do we also ban Windows users now?

Yea, this rule is impossible to enforce and completely overreaching, considering the idea probably is to prevent vibe coded crap from being promoted

Personally I like season 1 the most and then it's gradually going down from there, the entire show and later seasons are still way up there. I just like the "low stakes" of season 1 and 2 a lot more than the "world ending stakes" in 3 and onwards.

I love all the scenes with Walt and Jessy slowly getting used to the situation they made for themselves a lot more than the action packed scenes in the later seasons. I also like Walt as a character a lot more in 1 and 2. Later on he becomes an insufferable asshole.

You know how it goes, if you can't be arsed to make it, I can't be arsed to watch it.

Even just a random frame feom the video is a better thumbnail than an "AI" generated one. As which one's looking better, they both look pretty boring, even if I ignore the fact it's "AI". And if it's titled "in a jungle", what the hell is a conifer forest, typically found in the northern hemisphere doing there?

I made relationship map for my Cyberpunk game. It's something we used in VtM before and it works extremely well for this kind of stuff.

Just update it after every session and you can easily tell who's who and what relation they have witg other people.

I struggle a bit with figuring out what her arm is doing, and I'm just going off the assumption she's holding.. something and actually moving/swinging her arm towards the camera.

The sleeve dangles/moves in the opposite direction of where her arm is moving. If she wasn't moving, it'd just fall downwards, and the "corners" at the centre of the sleeve opening, would be flat, going down as well.

If she's mid motion, the sleeve would drag behind her arm and be "pulled back" by the movement.

I'd suggest looking for references, preferably actual photographs of people wearing this kind of sleeve, or similar, large and loose sleeved clothes.

I don't really browse for art too much myself, mostly browsing Pinterest for references and inspiration. So I don't really know people who got "objectively crazy good art" but personally I like TomatoStyles' art, commissioned him about... 7 times already(?) and have been very happy with the result every time.

But I genuinely cannot say whether or not his art is "crazy good", I just like his style and it works really with a lot of my characters.

Same goes for (I think it is) ThatVikari, here on Reddit and I think on Twitrer? Been a while since I commissioned them, but same reasoning, they got a anime-adjacent style which I like and it worked great for one of my characters

_Cecille

So V6 is like playing edgy people with super powers, who refuse to go outside during the day?

_Cecille

Why the fuck is everyone and their grandma using AI for products they intend to sell?

If you can't be arsed to make a product, I can't be arsed to buy a product.

I guess I at least won't ever have to upgrade my PC hardware ever again to play games, if I'm stuck with pre-AI games

_Cecille

You seem to have a pretty good idea already. Your art looks good but it's nothing unique. I probably have seen 5 posts on Reddit just today with a style like this, people take their money to someone more popular, or simply better.

And in respect to your style, the prices seem very expensive to me, a YCH for 80€ is a lot, considering the final product is almost done already, and a headshot for 40€ is up there as well.

I say all of this as someone who spent a lot of money on commissioning artists, the most expensive one I paid for was around 450-500 USD. I'm fine paying a lot for art, if I like the style and the quality is good. But unfortunately for you, your style just isn't unique enough to be a major selling point.

If you want to keep drawing this style, the options I see are to get crazy good quality, offer your art dirt cheap, or somehow get super popular. If you're fine with changing up your style, well then you gotta do that and find something more unique, you still like drawing

_Cecille

People love acting like they have a moral high ground and some sort of superior ethic code. I get it, it's nice if you can believe you're better than others, but you ain't.

Whatever you consume, in whatever shape or form, some asshole is always benefitting from it.

You spend money on something that is just remotely connected to an American business? Congratulations, you're supportibg Trump now. And by extension Israel as well. Fuck me, just spending money on anything ends up supporting that shit, but I don't see any of you call for a boycot on everything.

But granted, Harry Potter is an entertainment medium, so it's not really needed for survival. Neither is Reddit, so go leave or you support Trump.

But I don't see none of you giving me crap for using Reddit, or buying products related to an American company. If you shit on it, at least be consistent about it.

And finally, as a trans woman, I genuinely don't give a shit if people go and spend money on Harry Potter related things. Compared to the average person, Rowling already has an infinite amount of money to spend on a hate campaign. Watching this new HP or not won't change it.

_Cecille

Like your style! It's got something "dirty and cheap" about it, but in a good way. I don't really know how to describe it, maybe a more "gritty" comic style? Either way, love it. Just wish I had a character that needed to be drawn right now😭

_Cecille

Every time I see you post, I wish I had "your art"-kind of money to spare. Love your art!

_Cecille

Take a bottle, look at it from different angles and use your phone's flashlight to see how it throws shadows depending on angle.
